   Why is almost every beginning spell two handed? you know most spell casters in dnd can cast one handed almost all the time

      Unfortunately it's due to a limitation of the scripting API. Spells can't be selectively interrupted, you have to interrupt each spell currently being cast. If you could cast burning hands with one hand the spell you're casting with the other hand would get interrupted when burning hands' time expires.
