Next update to come out (1.5) will included better skin and removal of most glow like effect on skin. More balanced specular settings and a few small tweaks I have in mind.
UPDATE 1.5 OUT FOR OBSIDIAN
EDIT May something 2020: So, I am waaaaay behind on updating this preset. Just know this preset was made from a much MUCH older version of ENB and has yet to be updated to include all the fun new stuff. So, if you're still using this in 2020 thank you for your dedication. I will be updating this and I do not have a timeline for that update. I'm a procrastinator in general and so motivating is difficult for me. Because I want to put out the most amazing update but it's at a point where I almost have to start completely fresh because ENB has changed so much. I love this preset, it's something that has evolved a lot overtime and I am so dedicated to it. So even if it takes me forever to get it updated, know that it will get there. Thank you guys so much, seriously.
What's the best ENB currently that is most similar to this visually and performance wise? This has been my go-to since 2018, but at this point I need to wetness features of more recent ENBs, so I'm trying to upgrade but not be too taxing on my system
What weather mod are you using? If you're using a weather mod that doesn't add custom weather type, such as NAT, then it's actually very easy to incorporate the wet surface during rain effect into this ENB. (It can work with custom weather types as well, just extra work that involves knowing the weather ID.)
As you probably already know, the wetness effect can be turned on through the settings in enbseries.ini. But in order to make the wet surface effect exclusive to specific weather conditions, such as raining conditions, you need new .ini files to tell ENB when to turn it on and how it will look. By default, Visceral ENB doesn't use local weathers, so you'll need to enable it by turning off the settings in enbseries.ini that say ignore local weathers. Once you've done that, ENB will look for the .ini that controls how things look in different weather conditions. You can try to create these .ini files manually (which is a LOT of work) or simply copy the settings from another ENB preset that has all the weathers ini files ready to go. In my case, I copied all the settings in NAT ENB's weather .ini files and pasted them into my current weather. ini files that I took from Ebony ENB preset. (You can probably just use the files from NAV and use the Visceral ENB NAV - I didn't do it this way because I migrated from the Vivid Weather version because I completely forgot that there is a NAV version for Visceral.)
Sorry if my reply wasn't easy to follow. I can try to explain it better when I can sit down and look at the files. I will try to explain it step-by-step later if you're interested.
I love this ENB, only trouble I'm having is I'm trying to use it with Vivid weather mod, and can't see the rain. Only way I found to see it is going into the ENB menu and turning off the whole global effect, but that obviously takes everything else away. Does anyone know if there's a just a certain setting I need to switch to be able to see the rain, or do I just need to use a different weather mod? Thanks! If anyone could help would be greatly appreciated.
Best ENB for sure! It is lore friendly and the performance is good! But I have a doubt: do i need to use a weather and ELFX mods for this ENB to work? Or rather, does any ENB need these mods to work?
I lost my pc. Like it got destroyed 😭😭 lost alllllll the progress I had for all my mods, future mods, and updates. Just got a working pc again. Trying to get back to modding in my very limited spare time. (I've got 2 kids). It's so daunting getting started again. Starting from absolutely nothing again is hard. I promise to update this enb. It may take a year or 3 x.x but it's coming
T.T take your time- This IS the greatest ENB I've ever used! Been flipping through a dozen others but every day I think of checking if good old Vivid + Visceral still works on the latest version of ENB...
No way you actually come back!!!?? OMG I really cant believe it. I thought there was no chance for Visceral 2. Your ambient occlusion, skin shader settings, speculars, and aessthetic is still unmatched by the most UpToDate and rig heavy ENBs like NAT and Rudy. Literally every ENB after trying this ENB felt like a downgrade even though they came out 6 years after this. I dont know how you did it but I'm just happy there is atleast some hope.
Best ENB I have ever used, its like you understand the beauty of skyrim and this ENB keeps the games vanilla magic unlike other ENBs + great performance as well
