I tried To Have and To Hold and that was a buggy mess, so I came into this mod with very low expectations and a hard save I was prepared to revert to. But I'm glad to report that this mod works way better than I thought it would, even though I installed it mid-playthrough with FG, Amorous, and AFT all installed and a custom follower already married through the vanilla system.

First of all, ignore the option to reset the wedding quest and repeat the ceremony. That option is bugged. It will force your vanilla wife to stay at the temple of Mara with no option to relocate her since she is removed from the system whenever you reset the quest. And if you try to add her to the system, relocate, then reset again, it will remove all her spouse dialog and basically divorce her with no option to remarry. The Shrine is a mess. Instead, just use the operator spell to instantly marry your secondary spouses. Not very immersive, I know, but I only use it on NPCs that I know are marriageable in vanilla and whose quests I've cleared. In other words, NPCs that you could marry in vanilla if you were single. That helps to preserve immersion and avoid breaking quest scripts.

The clothing system also doesn't work with most non-follower NPCs, because they refuse to change out of their standard outfits (looking at you, Sylgja, with your ugly miner clothes). I got around this easily with this clothes changer mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/50066

Minor issue with the mod - it'll marry you to a random potential spouse. Just use the NPC operator spell and first use the marry option, then the divorce option, then clear slots with the shrine. I've used mod without starting a new game on 2 characters with no problems, but as the author said it's on you if something breaks.

If you want to marry Serana I suggest the Marry me Serana mod (plus Serana Shut Up so she stop saying "yes, what do you need?") and I've had zero issues running it alongside this mod + Flower Girls (tested it with several characters I played for a while). The SDA mod probably has a marriage option but I wouldn't know since I'm not exactly a fan of the voice acting and writing. If you cured Serana of vampirism install this mod after that or just disable it on a new game until you do to remove the yellow from her eyes.

If you can't marry someone just reset the wedding quest at the shrine. If you had a spouse that died you can't marry another person - this is how the game works and not the mod's fault. Normally you had to reset it with console commands. I see a lot of comments regarding this. Come on guys, reading is good for your brain.

All the Flower Girls mod does is add a NPC to the seduction faction (console command is addfac XXX2d193f 20 for lover status) to enable scenes and the dialogue, and you need to have a relationshiprank of 3 or 4 to even have the dialogue option to start seducing them (usually by doing a quest for them), so if you use the potential marriage candidate spell which sets their rank and adds them to the marriage faction it's not exactly game breaking but might prevent some NPCs from giving you their quests. I've tested this with UFO which I ran into problems with (nothing relating to this mod), and I'm currently using AFT. Flower Girls will disable the seduction dialogue for Serana until you complete Dawnguard. Don't force custom dialogue  on NPCs before finishing their quests so you don't break scripts. Using AFT to manage Serana could break her scripts as well so do that after completing Dawnguard and it'll be fine.

Just thought you'd like some feedback NerdGamerDave. Big fan of this mod since I use it to keep my modded followers in a central location alongside another house mod.

PROPER USE OF THIS MOD (SUMMARY):

To save time from reading (no one reads mod pages these days anyway):

1- Install this mod.  A new game works BEST.  Mid-game install can bork up scripts of any mod and should be avoided.  This is modding 101, so break this rule and any glitches are your fault, not a mod or mod author.

2-  Marry your PRIMARY SPOUSE FIRST!  Use the vanilla marriage system or a modded followers marriage (like marrying Sophia in the graveyard per her unique mod system).  This spouse is FOREVER your primary spouse.

3- Use this mod to marry you next spouses (or 200+ spouses).  But don't go overkill.  Too many of them married at a time will crowd up the temple of Mara with NPC's.

4- Remember than ONLY YOUR PRIMARY SPOUSE will cook you home-cooked meals and have other unique spouse dialogues.  Every spouse after your first will follow other rules for a spouse like bed assignments, sand-boxing or other mods (like sex mods) that refer to a spouse, but the vanilla game scripts are stuck to only your FIRST MARRIAGE

5- Use mods like NFF or MHIYH if you have trouble getting multiple spouses to move into the same home.

6- For best compatibility with heavily modded games, remember to only use ONE mod to influence an NPC's behavior.  In other words, don't use FG to seduce an NPC and make them a Lover, then also use ORomance to romance them, then follow up with this mod and marry them.  That's 3 times the trouble you are asking for when using 3 different ways to create the same outcome.  Nothing is wrong with having all those mods in the same game (I sure do), but select one NPC to be a Lover in FG, another as a spouse with Multiple Marriage, and other as a lover for ORomance.  Avoid combining all three with the same NPC.

7- Hope this helps.  I can assure you this mod works if you follow it's instructions and common sense modding.

So based on what you said and the mod description, if I pursued the modded marriage path of Serana Dialogue Addon and then married an additional vanilla voiced npc, the Serana marriage would be first and all other vanilla voiced would just have slightly different voiced lines but no new spouse dialogue. If that is true, then would the inverse work and a vanilla voiced npc as the first spouse maintain the new spouse dialogue, and Serana keep modded spouse status dialogue since it doesn't follow vanilla Skyrim marriage systems?

This mod doesn't seem to properly function anymore. The shrine and spell books are where they should be but the shine doesn't seem to recognize my first marriage actually having taken place when I try to utilize the shrine to add spouse to list. I keep getting "get first wedding" message.

Edit: Apparently it ceases to function properly with any mods that make any slight adjustment to the vanilla marriage. Especially ones that appear to have been abandoned like the Become High King mods.

Just wondering is there a lot of issues getting this to work without issue or why it only has 60 comments and 20k downloads. seeing a lot of mix issues and known issues along with just knowing mutliple marriages (in general/game not mod) have always been finicky in skyrim (just I think a mod companion I have might lock it as a marriage at end and curious if a multiple will bypass it so went looking again).

Also To Have and to Hold mod by reading seems to have even more issues like not liking multiple adoptions mod, but has 138k downloads so ya..

Any ways huge thanks for sharing might check out in future or accept she be my only vanilla system wife or maybe I will try console command again to have multiple though I had bad luck with it way way back then.

Did some testing and ya this paragraph edited really should be the summary of the mod.

If you use clear your marriage stuff by mod (Divorce/add love to list/reset quest), your current (*One you actually toke to marriage cermeony quest) spouse *will* lose their dialogue options/interactions and also is the only one that can have them (also might leave home and might stay locked as married but act like they not though this just messes with this mods spells and keeps them permentaly off though think of it as a massive anger/ sadness).
For example, you reset the wedding quest and you notice afterward that the spouse dialogues disappear - Only the first spouse (*quest married*) retains the dialogue *interactions*. The workaround is to use the included NPC management spell to marry them *instead* they will not have special choices (cooking, shop profits), but will stay at the *temple until use the given relocate spell which after if it a home will say their line of great home and I will open shop but never will* .
So... it's just like a real harem, you end up having to appoint a head wife by wedding ceremony and be the one that can cook for you and run a small shop (and also everything else including any mods + dlcs like kids that add more to marriage characters) while the rest can only have their diaoulge changed as if they were (dearest, love, etc...) and will be bound to the location you say / temple otherwise, so think of this as a Mistresses Harem mod not a Marriage Harem mod + it also a divorce mod :D.

Still a great mod for those wanting to bring love to the world and have a lot of people be happy in love; just again it not really a multiple Marriage but a multiple "social official" Mistress mod which some medieval things have had in time so ya works great for that.

Again if you wanted to use this to navigate around like mod companions that look at marriage do not do the marriage quest, but use the spell and just accept you won't have them cooking for you/ making money with a shop/be a official parent/ be allowed to move about to much :D.

Good mod still again and Thanks will probably use in future to build a mistress group maybe, assuming I find no issues.

i will improve it later on it is just not a top priority, like i said the scrips need rewriting and the shrine has to go.

to explain it in simpler terms it functions but because of how the scripts are wrote it is prone to breaking itself, also the shrine does not function as intended because it makes marriage or remarriage almost impossible.

the dress up mod functions as it should but simply needs minor tweaks & improvements, note that the character that causes the duplication is a female khajiit working as a priestess in the temple though i would think this would happen with any character that gets added into the temple area (i believe the khajiit comes from one of dominions mods that add more npcs)

but yes it will be fixed in the future assuming someone else does not do so first

Please be sure to read the description first before posting about a possible issue - you might just find your solution there.
As always, use LOOT to optimize your load order and SSE Edit for conflict resolution, edit forwarding & mod cleaning (remember, even the vanilla game files require cleaning! See: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2667094-guide-manual-cleaning-skyrim-master-files/). Creating a smashed patch with Mator Smash or a bashed patch with Wrye Bash would be very wise as well and is highly recommended (as is the USSEP).

Possible issues to look out for (from the Oldrim page, mostly copy & pasted here):
*Some users have reported that only the spell functions work properly (the shrine can be buggy).

*Sometimes you need to walk outside the temple and then back in or the wedding will not start. Also, might need to avoid non-vanilla NPCs inside the temple, otherwise PC can be duplicated in a massive form. (...Really? O.o)

*If you "clear" your marriage status, your current (most recent) spouse may lose their dialogue options/interactions (and might leave home) for some reason. For example, you reset the wedding quest and you notice afterward that the spouse dialogues disappear - Only the first spouse retains the dialogue interactions. The workaround is to use the included NPC management spell to marry them but without the ceremony. The initial spouse will keep their interactions (cooking, shop profits), but the last one will not. However, both will stay at the house. So... it's just like a real harem, you end up having to appoint a head wife

*Use the relocator spell to assign them homes, but be aware that you must take them to one of the regular player homes first, or the dialogue will not show to move to a custom player home. Also, the marriage has to be manual. If the spell is used to marry, the dialogue will not show (this seems to contradict the above statement that says to use the spell to marry - your mileage may vary).

mlbrad has let me know that:
*The shrine & any script related to it is the main source of most problems.
*Using the spell to marry sometimes does not work properly since the game does not count it as a 'real' marriage. To fix the mod, the scripts have to be rewritten - and the mod has to be rebuilt since the esp relies on those scripts. Load the scripts in the CK and you will see that the problems are caused by how the scripts are written.

For issues regarding home management and tracking NPCs I highly recommend using MHIYH (My Home Is Your Home) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/20227 and CS Tag N Track https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/14018

I am having a hard time deciding who to marry between 2 (possibly 3) NPC's (not vanilla, from mods) What I would "like" to do is marry both at the same time in the same ceremony, and have them both accept each other, like a 3 way marriage.. but I guess this would be way to complicated to write a Mod for?

      read the stickies.

outside of that known issue, this mod should not do that. you likely have higher relationship rank (4) with npcs probably due to some other mod so it sounds that way. they may treat you as lover but you are not married or it may be a bug if it's a bunch of npcs in your married list.

Yes I've read the stickies, and well it seems that he indeed become a "lover" because when I checked at tample of mara he was there lol. Also I always test with new playthrough using Alternate Live and become companion so i can be in Whiterun in no time. Also as you said that the player will married to random NPC I guess Vilkas is one of them (I also got Jenessa on one of the test new game and no other NPC)

So if you can marry only 1 person, and the others are just essentially added to the marry faction who just have the regular dialogue like "yes, my love", what you can also do with console command (addfac 19809 1) then i donĀ“t get what the point of this mod is really. I can just use console commands and save me 1 esp slot. Oh well

If I understand correctly then you can still only have one wife with this mod installed who will actually behave like a wife. Any additional wives will not behave like wives...is that correct? If so then I'm struggling to understand the point of the mod.

Is there any mod that enables multiple wives that will actually behave like wives? thanks
