Notable Optional downloads DynDOLOD 3 Alpha 3D LOD For generating very detailed and beautiful 3D LOD's with Dyndolod 3 alpha. Please read up what you need apart from this file. Forums - Step Modifications | Change The Game is a great place to get started, GamerPoets - YouTube is a great channel too. Pregenerated 3D LODs for latest SFOLike the title suggests this is already generated 3D LODs for your SFO install so no need to read up about 3D LOD generation at all. Though i will say it has many advantages to know how to use DynDOLOD 3 Alpha, not just for SFO but for other mods as well. This file is huge because it contains the entire landscape generated in high detail! 3D LOD's makes an incredible difference so i do suggest using either of these two files. 3D LOD's kindly provided by z929669 !
I can't remember if I posted this here before so sorry if I did; I just wanted to report that SFO actually works great with Seasons of Skyrim (Turn of the Seasons) installed, at least for me! I can highly recommend it to people who want to try it out! Even without the .ini file for Seasons, the trees match the seasons. I think Turn of the Seasons does that automatically. It looks especially good in the area around Falkreath where the pines get replaced by the really heavy snow tundra pines, it makes the whole area look completely different, like a really hard winter, much better than the same area with any other flora/tree overhauls. I didn't notice any really huge performance impacts there either. And I really have the opposite of a NASA build PC (potato power here).
I have not played through EVERY season in every single area yet and there might be things (glitches, wrong trees idk whatnot) I missed but this tree / flora overhaul is the best for me when it comes to Seasons of Skyrim, personally. I use it together with Seasonal Landscapes which is an amazing grass mod when it comes to seasons and they work very well together (had to tweak performance a bit, SL was quite heavy tbf).
I should note that I'm using Turn of the Seasons. Which is probably what makes SFO work with Seasons of Skyrim so well. BUT I tried TotS with several other flora mods and it only looked this good when being used with Vurts SFO. So maybe it doesn't even need .ini tweaks :P Maybe I upload some screenshots below this post later.
I want to say that this mod is amazing and gorgeous, and you've earned another endorsement for it. This in spite of the fact that, sadly, I can't use it--I think it might melt my graphics card (playing with this mod was the first time Skyrim ever caused my graphics card to start running hot, so I'll just have to save it for when I might be able to upgrade).
Thanks for this gorgeous mod, and I look forward to when I can really enjoy it myself!
First, I would like to say thanks for such a great landscape mod. I've been using it as the basis for many playthroughs. I've finally gotten around to find the root cause of one of my greatest problems as an archer. (Yeah, I know.)
Unfortunately, I REALLY suck at NIF editing and can't get the collisions to match the base mesh of the tree trunks. Is there anyone out there who could get those collisions closer to the trunks?
There are these red fern leaf bushes that disappear when I get close to them/look slightly up and above them. It's a conflict with something I guess but I don't know what. I loaded it after Cathedral Landscape and no dice. Any help anyone?
nah, that's just some engine issue for rendering grass. it does not handle big meshes that well so sometimes they will disappear in first person mode, works in third person...
How to install the pregenerated LODs? Do I need anything else apart from the mod and LODs (for GOG version of Skyrim) in my load order like you do with Dyndolod (you need to have Dyndolod resources even if you dont use most or all of them)?

Hi there! Very new to the Skyrim pc modding community, I've got a burning question for anyone who knows anything about this: is SFO compatible with JK's Skyrim city mod?
I encountered an issue recently that I believe was caused by some sort of conflict between these mods but I am unsure (I don't think Vortex Mod Manager had anything to say about it). A couple days ago, I installed SFO and then installed JK's Skyrim, then I booted up the game. Using the Alternate Start mod I went straight to Whiterun to see how it was going - in short, the city mod worked fine, but for some reason SFO was not fine. I went outside the city and pretty much all of the smaller bushes and grasses around the plains were gone (some vanilla trees were still left behind though). So I uninstalled both mods to get both vanilla cities and nature back - still had the same issue. Unsure of what else could've been causing the issue, I uninstalled all my mods, ripped the game out and started all over again.
I have SFO installed again but am hesitant to install any city mods in fear of the same thing happening again. In all likelihood, I'm guessing the two do work fine (I can't find any patches for these two mods), and that it was more of a matter of me loading them in the incorrect order. But I'm still unsure. I do have other mods like SMIM and Realistic Water 2 but both of those seem to work fine with SFO.
Anyway, any help or advice at all would be great :) thanks

I'm currently using the 2.73 full version.
The collision for treepineforest04.nif and treepineforest05.nif are way bigger than they need to be.
