I made a patch that lets the falling petals from this mod work on every stage of growth from Gildergreen Regrown. It works as an ESP overwrite and is ESL flagged. MEGA Download Link
I've tested it a couple of times to make sure it works, and I've not had any hiccups. Arthmoor gave me the okay to share this, and Undriel if you want to provide this as an optional download I am totally okay with it.
Sounds great, and sure! I can upload it on this page (though I have donation points activated here) - otherwise you can upload it on Nexusmods, it will be easier for users to download it through their mod managers :)
I used zEdit, but I imagine it would be the same for xEdit I duplicated the triggers for the petals in the worldspace but changed the triggers/conditions to reference the ones from Gildergreen regrown. I purposefully left this mod's triggers there for if you did a playthrough where you just took the sap. I'm at work right now, or I'd open up them back up and give you the exact terms or the trigger name to look out for.
no you're good. i followed your example and i believe i got it to work (i basically merged the mods which is in the vein of what you did). Thanks appreciate it :)
Is there something you have to do in order to get the petals to show, or a time period you need to wait. I am using a whiterun overhaul thats part of JKs all in One city overhaul mod. could that be preventing your mod from working?
I'm so sorry but I have no time to look into how to create patches. Anyone is free to make one though, and let me know! I will link it in the description.
2. Compatibility Patch Creation Script: (Manual download) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/52919?tab=description This patches weapons armor npcs etc but won't patch(most) placed objects. I didn't have a problem with this.
3. Opposable thumbs.
If you are worried about using SSEedit, don't be. If you can use a Mod Manager, you can use this.
4. Install SSEedit - the internet is infested with videos on how to install this using your mod manager of choice.
5a. Open the SSEedit file location in your program manager. Example: mine is located in Z:\Mod Organizer 2 Skyrim SE\Mo2 TOOLS\xEdit. I have a "Tools" folder where I keep all the tools I use to manage my Bethesda games. 5b. Open the folder called Edit Scripts and dump the Create Compatability Patches.pas file here (not the folders just the pas file).
6a. Run SSEedit from your mod manager. Right-click on any mod and select uncheck all. Load (check) the files you wish to make compatibility patches for including all Masters and patches of both mods. So for the question asked here, load Gildergreen Regrown and Falling Gildergreen Petals esps. Wait until everything is done loading (it will read "Background Loader: finished").
6b. With both esps selected (click on each while holding CTRL), Right-click on one of them and click on Apply Script in the drop-down menu.
7a. In the Apply Script menu click on the little down arrow next to the Script box at the top and find Create Compatability Patch. The list is alphabetical. Click "Okay." The script will run automatically.
7b. When it finishes running (it is fast) save and close. If you click to close the program using the save option under the three ------ lines at the top left, or the little x (top right) it will automatically take you to the save menu. Make sure your files are checked and you have the option to create a backup here. Click okay and you're finished. **If you use Mod Organizer 2 it will put the patch in your Overwrite folder (bottom MO2- you will need to right-click on Overwrite and select "create mod" and then activate it when done). **If you use Vortex it will automatically put the patch in the esp panel of Vortex at the top.
hope this helps! --SGTSAL PS: this would be a good time to learn how to do simple conflict resolution. Even though you made a patch you should always check it for conflicts. It is not difficult and you can't screw anything up while learning how since you can exit anytime without saving your work, and you can always back up any files at any time.
You can already make patches in xedit w/o this script, but this automates the process and you can patch many esps at once. you still should check your patch and solve any conflicts in them (look for red areas - check videos on youtube for how-tos.)

Pretty petals for everyone!

I assume I just replace the original .esp with this one?
It will be a while till I have a game ready to go. How is it working for everyone?
Edit: Should I make the version number = 1.0? 1.2? 1.2b?
Gildergreen regrown
Falling Gildergreen petals
this patch?
Gildergreen Regrown
Falling Gildergreen Petals
Any chance the Gildergreen Regrown patch is in the works? I'd really like to use both.
If I can make patches anyone can. You need a few things:
1. SSEedit: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/164
2. Compatibility Patch Creation Script: (Manual download) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/52919?tab=description
