The mod is not appearing in the mod configuration settings in game. I'm pretty positive I've installed it correctly. How do I get the mod to appear so I can edit the EXP Multiplier?
I was having issues with it working (GOG Version 1.6.659.0) turns out vortex wasn't doing something right. Just unzip and drop the data folder in the install location worked for me. I know manual install isn't recommended anymore but hey, whatever works. Hope that helps.
If Installed mid-game and it isn't showing up, I have a solution that worked for me. I used the console command at this mod's page, and that worked, so I then didn't use the mod itself. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/36801 is the page and the console command is setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1
charlessurge's fix worked just fine for me on version 1.6.640 for anyone wondering about compatibility. Took about 5 seconds after setting stage for skyUI to find the MCM.
Great mod. I'm using it to replicate "class" behavior, where some skills grow normally, some take twice as much effort, and some will not advance at all. This is about the most straightforward, and least likely to cause conflict, approach currently out there.
Great mod - I use it to severely nerf XP - Main setting to 0.2 or 0.3 and individual settings almost all <1 as well. eg speech 0.2, sneak 0.2.
It just doesn't work with skill gained by other means though - I don't use trainers (why nerf, then use trainers?) but am aware it is broken with them by experimentation on a save game that I can reload. Skill books are also broken with this - some go fine, but others will give 2 or 3 skill levels per book - seems speech (set at 0.3*0.2=0.06), alteration (0.3) and two handed (0.15) are the worst for this.
Used this mod along with Experience, skills level up faster accordingly, but now my level progress doesn't go up anymore, unless its via kills/quests/discovers/clears. I don't know if anyone else has the same issue
Experience has a feature where it caps your skill levels according to your characters level. If that is the case your progress bar should be yellow. You can change these settings in its MCM.

It's installed, it has no conflicts, I have the necessary required mods and off-site resources (namely SKSE). It doesn't show up in the MCM list. :(
setstage SKI_ConfigManagerInstance 1
