This guide is unclear. The instructions on the description page and the instructions in the downloadable text file are quite different from each other from point 5 onwards E.g. from downloaded text file:
    5. Navigate to textures\actors\character\female folder.
    6. Copy the femalebody/femalehands/femalefeet/femalehead files from the above directory.
    compared with description page:
    5. If applicable, navigate to meshes\actors\character\character assets female folder.  Otherwise, skip to Step 8.
    6. Copy the skeleton_female.nif from the above directory.

It's not unclear.  Follow the steps in chronological order.  Not that hard of a concept to understand or comprehend...

I pray to the nine divines this thread is still watched. Im trying to use this tutorial for the Miraak follower mod with female mirraak and its patch, however, im not sure where to go, ive done almost all the steps, extracted the BSA, replaced the textures and meshes with default, however, what do I do after that.

Because im pretty sure my game wont be using the unpacked version of it so id have to repack it right? Or do I make a new entry into the skyrim data folder?

I swear im not new to modding but Ive never replaced textures before on non-vanilla characters besides bijin npc's which are just right in the skyrim data folder anyway.

    Pls help.

The game will most certainly utilize the loose files since loose files take priority over the packed BSA files.  If this were not the case, it would be impossible to utilize body mods since these overwrite the files packed into the BSAs Bethesda provided...

You have no idea how valuable you are to this modding world sir.
Works flawlessly if each step is followed & in the end ...it's so simple..

I've been modding this game for over a decade & have memorized the entire file structure by heart.  That's the advantage of manual installation of nearly all mods I have installed.  I know where everything is at in my game & can tweak it as needed without the hassles that come with buggy/glitchy mod managers.  This is especially true when it comes to the utter DISASTER that is Vortex...  Don't even get me started when it comes to that abomination.

Yes it does.  The file structure is the same for both games.

Pretty vague...  I need more info such as which follower & such.  Could be an issue with what is (or isn't) set under the Default Outfit line in SSE Edit too.  Without additional info, I'm afraid I cannot assist any further.  This is a topic about my tutorial here, not issues with followers disrobing themselves in-game for the record.

    Thanks for the info, legend.

I'm trying to adjust some of the outfits that come with divided's followers so that they fit the custom body preset I'm using (BHUNP 3BBB).  Tried this one video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8eSmtcHalY. However, the reference BHUNP body shown early in the video is already fitted to the UNP outfit the uploader is converting to. In my case, my reference body and the body that comes with the outfits I'm trying to convert don't match up. In Tsuki's case, her miko outfit still has a large bust and the reference body I'm using is just standing there with a lot of space around the bust area.

This is a manual body mesh/texture replacement tutorial, not an outfit conversion tutorial.  What you're attempting goes way beyond the scope of my guide/tutorial...  You need to look up a Bodyslide & Outfit Studio tutorial/video my friend.

You're welcome.  Folks really should know how to manually replace body meshes/textures in their games.  My guide helps simplify the procedure.

Like the idea of this guide just tried to do it on a SSE Follower mod that has a CBBE Never Nude body, with CBBE Nude body, copied the files just as you instructed but when I go into the game I can hear her talking and walking around but she is completely invisible any ideas how to fix this if possible?

Edit 1: Ok got her showing up in game forgot to transfer the .tri files. i was replacing just the .nif files

Second problem I am looking into now is when I unequip her armor she still wears a dress by default which is hidden, still not Nude yet ...sigh lol

You need a follower framework mod such as EFF in order to strip a follower completely nude in-game...

Currently using EFF and MFF the follower I downloaded still has some type of dress on even when their armor is taken off. tried the console commands for inv and removeitem but that didnt work either inv shows 2 items as some kind of error and wont delete.

Edit 1: Tried using a custom armor mod, the boots could be seen equipping and the gloves, but the chest piece wouldn't equip because of the hiddden or locked dress, but I could put their custom armor back on just fine without issues.

Why are you using two follower frameworks?  Use one or the other, not both...  I use EFF to disrobe followers & give them modded armors from my mod list without any issues whatsoever.  That right there may be what's causing your issues.  I strongly recommend you sticking with EFF & starting a new game with MFF removed.  If you haven't already, grab UIExtensions by expired which extends EFF even further.  Regardless, the scripts are baked into your save game & the only recourse you have at this point is to start a new game.  Resaver does not work the majority of the time despite claims to the contrary.  Starting a new game when adding/removing mods is the only real way to remove scripts from one's save game.  Chalk that up to the way BUGthesda designed their broken outdated game engine...

Why 2 follower systems, well for starters it has been several years since i played old rim and sse sat in my library for almost a year before i decided to try it out to see what differences there were between the two. both are different follower systems granted but they do not interfere with each other and after consulting both mod pages they appear to be compatible with each other and sometimes i just like to goof around in my games especially with followers  sometimes i like to test out multiple followers but too lazy and too old to worry about uninstalling each one or as you can guess i like to break the game with how many followers i can have  or move into a big mansion area for followers lol plus it was just to see if i can do it. so i use eff and mff because both handle large number of followers add in the mhiyh2+ and i can make my own city or harem so to speak lol

dumb i know but like i said sometimes i like to see how many i can round up before the game actually breaks on me :)

You cannot have two follower frameworks installed period.  That's how your game breaks...  Choose ONE OR THE OTHER, not both.  You have CONFLICTING SCRIPTS installed into your game & they will break your game eventually.

I did this for the venitia serana mod. She has seams at her wrists and ankles. If i adjust her weight it screws everything up. How might i fix this?

You obviously didn't Copy/Paste one or more texture files into Venetia Serana's folder correctly.  Also, you should NEVER EVER adjust an NPC's weight from the default value (20 is Serana's default weight if I recall correctly).  Doing so will cause neck/ankle/wrist seams as you no doubt have just found out...

I copied all that were not otherwise marked as being for special NPCs like the afflicted. As for the weight adjustment I just thought I'd try, sometimes it works. I went back a save to fix the many problems it caused, lol.
These are the files I copied from the textures folder.
      femalebody_1
      femalebody_1_msn
      femalebody_1_s
      femalebody_1_sk
      femalehands_1
      femalehands_1_msn
      femalehands_1_s
      femalehands_1_sk
      femalehead
      femalehead_msn
      femalehead_s
      femalehead_sk

      Leaving out these files.

      femaleheadvampire

Thanks for the help on this, I got it to work 5 months ago. Not sure why I can't get it to work right now.

You likely have a mod that's breaking the vanilla body pathing record.

Any ideas on how I might narrow it down, other than removing mods 1 by 1 till it works?

Use SSE Edit & apply a filter to show conflicts.

I tried that and adjusted my load order, no fix. I then tried checking vanilla NPCs, they all had seams too. I tried a new save and  they were all gone. So it must have been something with those old saves.

Weight stats are baked into the saves.  One cannot use the console to change the weight since it causes nasty seams on the neck, ankles, & wrists.  Your best bet is to start a new game & this time, don't use the console to change the weights.

Let this be a harsh lesson learned - don't mess with the weights via the console.  Leave them at their defaults...
