Love the book. Very new to CACO - use Alchemist's Compendium and Harvest Overhaul in Oldrim - and this will help a great deal learning this new system. One thing though .. the font is very tiny. (I am also apparently going blind, so the problem is also me.) Might anyone know if there is a way to increase the font size so I can see it better?
Thanks for the great mod and to anyone who might be able to help me with my font issue.
Thank you! The font is this size due to the word-wrap text limit allowed within one book at a time. Meaning if the font was bigger it would force me to break the information up into various books. Which does work, but causes more of a headache than is practical on both the user and myself. However, if you wish to do this yourself, you can edit the files to increase font size in your creation kit: https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Book#Font_Sizes
I'm blind too. I use this mod. It really helps me! Hope it helps your too. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6367
Edit: Wow, that was a long time ago. I really need to start looking at the date before replying. LOL Oh, well! Someone else might see this and benefit.
CACO edits the effects of many vanilla ingredients, but not all. What exactly does this book include?: 1 - only new ingredients added by CACO 2 - new CACO ingredients + CACO edited vanilla ingredients 3 - new CACO ingredients + CACO edited vanilla ingredients + vanilla ingredients untouched by CACO
I ask because it isn't really practical to use the old mod "Alchemist's Compendium" together with this because it would list many incorrect ingredient effects which CACO changed. Yet if this mod doesn't list vanilla ingredients not touched by CACO, then there is a big knowledge gap.
As is stated on the front page, this mod references CACO changes, and only those changes. Vanilla effects are, in my opinion, easy enough to look-up or are already common knowledge. There may indeed be a knowledge gap for new CACO users, however, I made this item for my own personal use. Hope this clears up your question.
Thanks so much for this mod! It is a perfect replacement for the Alchemist's Guide which I used for so long with Harvest overhaul, before CACO! Great work!
As was stated in the disclaimer section, I am aware that CACO - SE now has the same basic functionality as the legendary edition mod you have provided a link for. My mod here does not offer any form of teaching to the reader beyond the 1 point into the alchemy skill the first time it is read. Leaving the user to still make perfect use of the books/notes that CACO - SE now provides to teach effects. The book provided here is merely an in-game reference sheet of effects.
