I installed this to get rid of an issue where looking down and then looking up outside would change the brightness weirdly and make my head hurt. unfortunately it just makes the game too dark in interior areas, and turning up the brightness makes it look bad
I actually cried from happiness, in daylight, the snow and my character in my skyrim, were always so bright that I could not play normally, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was going on, thank you for this mod, it literally made me happy, I love you
HDR is only a contrast boost that blackens and bleaches details to death THDR toggles it and the game is beautiful but it disables imods like Better Resource Warnings SkyrimVR.ini [Display] fGlobalContrastBoost=-.224 leaves HDR on and reverts contrast pump You will loose a pinch of saturation, maybe use change fGlobalSaturationBoost CAS in Reshade will kill the blur. Tone mapping in Reshade will tweak exposure and gama Tfog 0,99000 will clear things up too. teofis crashes VR. You can use command GS 1 for default gama or increase it like GS 1.2 I would add this or the other mod to kill bloom, etc.
Eye adaption is crap. If you got a 17 inch laptop at arms length in a dim room your eyes will give you free natural eye adaption. If you got a 32" curved monitor you for sure will have natural eye adaption. If you are wearing a VR set there is no way to avoid natural eye adaption. Screwing with brightness is pure garbage, we already have real adaption in our eyes thank you. People fought for years to remove chromatic effect from filming, now it's a game feature? Are we shooting a movie on the set of Whiterun? Lens flare? Am I driving a car in the rain? Its all garbage, turn it off.
I know this is old but you're the first one I've seen online who gets it. Most of these effects were developed to emulate camera/lens distortions so that CGI would blend with photography. There's zero value to using them in a game.
Not sure why but this doesn't seem to be compatible with the Luminosity lighting mod. I have tried it before and after the mod in the LOOT order. The issue is every time you open the map it messes up all the lighting completely (either the game is almost completely dark or just someone dark with glowing facial hair lol). Turning on adaptation in the toggle fixes it. Bloom seems to be okay, can keep it off. I haven't tried it with any of the other lighting mods though. Not sure if this has something to do with luminosity specifically. Going to try the other hdr mods on here and see if they work at all. Thanks :)
Edit: This isn't happening with the other hdr and bloom mod on this site, not sure why this is, figured I'd let you know. I'm guessing it has something to do with yours being togglable and theirs isn't, not sure why this would make a difference but that's the only difference I see in the 2 mods lol.
Hey did you figure it out? Everytime I enter an interior the effect goes off or if I open a map I have the same problem as you. I have to equip a torch a open a map again for it to work again. I tried turning off ELFX and Vivid Weather and still have this problem so I am sure it is a bug from this mod.
Tried this with Wander, Obsidian, and rustic and all it does is bleach dafuq outta the contrast. it used to work for me. idk if i need to go back to another mod, vanilla weather, or its an AE thing, but whatever it is i gotta do something else.
anyone know of a mod in 2022 that actually does this for consoles? the washed out desert look is wearing me out.
Running a rather high end rig, the game was choppy at parts with this mod in tandem with RAID Weathers. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/63116?tab=description&BH=1
The setting seems to disable itself so I need to re-enable the setting every time I load a game and it's getting annoying especially that I'm playing at legendary difficulty with combat mods so I die a lot of times. Is there any fix for this?
EDIT: the MCM settings also aren't showing up, so I am just using the note given in my inventory.
I literally have the same damn problem... No idea how to fix it. Tried some ini changes like globalbloomboost or the eyeadapt, but neither worked. Even the damn Vivid Weathers seem to have no ability to change bloom now.
