This looked pretty good! Came out pretty nice in game. Heads up, if you use Better Vampires or Better Vampires NPC this will cause the Vampire Blood gems to be no more. All you will see are red spots instead.
Loot, reverse the load order manually, or go into the files of better vampires, grab a copy of the textures, and install them as their own mod through vortex mod manager after both mods.
Sorry to tell this, but unfortunately the result is not so good as I expected. I have tried both ULTRA and HIGH versions, and looks like if the gems have holes instead of transparent parts :
This is the first I am seeing of this issue and sorry about you not enjoying the mod as intended. But this most certainly is a conflict issue with some other mod in your load order as I have added my own pictures to the gallery apart from the few old ones.
In fact, almost all my pictures are new. Maybe if you share what clutter retexture mods are there in your load order, then maybe I can help
Same issues as these guys. Too bad. Would be cool if it could be fixed, some pics here also show that they look like they got holes in them, sometimes the gems are like transparent flat glass and depending on how you rotate them by holding E, they disappear entirely. The part which is on my end, I'm not sure how to fix.
Would be very nice if there was an optional glowing/pulsating effect.
I'm not using any other texture mods or ENBs, and I'm having the same problem no matter what version I use. I thought maybe using the High Res version was the issue at first, but after testing both Medium and Low Res versions it remained the same.
I'm having holey soulgems too. This is just a WAG, but since it seems to happen with some ENBs and not others, the conflict might be the ENB particle patch. http://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1499. Which is included in some ENBs but not others.
The particle patch fixes a lot of solid-looking particles, like fog and fire, etc, and makes them properly transparent. Thus, holey soulgems...
This mod is probably taking advantage of the particle glitch (solid-looking particles) and uses particles as the soulgem surface, and doesn't compensate for the corrected particles. The ENB version will need an more consistant underlying texture with the particle overlying the surface. There may be another way to achieve this effect. I suggest downloading the particle patch and maybe making an ENB version of this mod. Anyone who isn't using the particle patch should probably go download it. It makes a huge difference for the better.
Thank you for making the mod, but if it doesn't get corrected I'll probably have to go back to Soul gems are different. Which would be a shame.
I'll try to confirm this later when I have time, but this seems the most likely cause.
I just started to learn how ENB's work but with a previous one I had going, the gems were almost invisible (or disappeared if I was looking at them from a certain angle). But after switching to another ENB I suddenly beheld glorious soul gems.
I'm using Ultra. I switched Rustic Soul Gems for this one and I had no filled ones show up in my inventory preview or when dropped. Empty is fine though.
This happen to me too! Only Grand Soul Gem Filled, and I used Rustic Soul Gem either. How strange it's just mesh and texture, and only change a little when look in SseEdit.
Yeah apparently there is a minor issue with the appearance of the Filled Grand Soul Gem Only. Looking into a potential fix. However, you can continue to use this mod as every other gem looks stunningly beautiful
and, no. this isn't compatibility with another mod. I turned off other mods and still can't see soulgems. I think this problem same with comment above this.
You don't need to optimize the meshes. It should work with the old ones; NifScan reports no issues with them.
There are no incompatible shapes and they may be used as-is.
Opening the older filled grand meshes in NifSkope, you can actually see a slight difference between them.
Nif Optimizer is a brute sometimes, and I've had it make things go invisible, turn armor into flying pixels, and even crash the game when approaching NPCs. I couldn't tell you why, other than that it is likely erasing something that needs to be there before it re-saves them.

this is odd but still acceptable
this one absolutely not...
