Ah back again with another comment.
As a person who loves the music from the previous games, this mod is absolutely what I want but I have a few gripes and I’ll try to narrow it down through each type. I use the WAV version of this mod and I have converted the tracks into WAV files, just so you know.

    • Exploration: The mod mainly plays Daggerfall music for a majority of the time. Sometimes it plays Skyrim’s already great atmosphere music but it mostly just plays daggerfall’s music which is fine but like I said in my previous comment, stuff like “GSNEAK2”, which plays mainly at night, sounds goofy and admittedly not fitting at all.
What I want mainly is Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind and a small amount of Daggerfall’s exploration music.

    • Combat: This one is a big one. From my experience, it ONLY plays Skyrim’s combat music. I love Morrowind and Oblivion’s combat music and I only really remember one of Morrowind’s  music played rarely.

    • Town: Nothing is bad here in my opinion. It plays Skyrim’s and Oblivion’s music in major cities (Well maybe except Morthal, Dawnstar and Falkreath). And that’s all I want. Harvest Dawn from Oblivion while exploring Solitude is great.

    • Discovery: Yeah, the music that plays when you discover a location has new music. It plays Arena’s music when you enter a town. Which is good enough and fine. Nothing bad here. Side note, it also plays the Arabian music from Daggerfall when you go to places in Hammerfell. The mod coincidentally played this tune when I arrived at Ben Erai in the Gray Cowl of Nocturnal mod which I thought fit it way too well, even if it’s unintentional.

    • Dungeons: Same situation with the exploration music. It plays mainly Daggerfall’s music. However, I did remember it played a little bit of Oblivion’s but it never seems to play ever again and I’m not talking about the one that plays in Anniversary Edition dungeons like Solitude’s sewer. I’m fine with Daggerfall’s dungeon music. The song that plays in the first dungeon of the game comes to mind and I love it.

    • Title Music: Ok what I mean by this is the song that plays in the intro of the game.. however some mods like Blackreach Railroad and Legacy of the Dragonborn play this music in certain added locations. So that’s why I want to talk about it. Anyway, it plays Arena’s title theme mainly. Well for me at least. In my previous comment, Oblivion’s title theme played for me when I went out of Helgen’s cave with Ralof but that was the only time it played. My guess the song that plays there is a different trigger than the intro one so I shouldn’t complain.

I don’t know how this mod functions when it comes to triggering music but the fact NO new combat music plays for me is upsetting..

Ok I fixed the problem. It’s was a conflict between a esp I have. “ECSS - Beyond Skyrim Music Patch.esp” to be exact. The new combat music now plays for me. However I did make proper Finales for each one in the Creation Kit and Audacity since this mod just makes them silent. Overall, underrated mod that’s deserves the love. :)

Just saying this right now, the vanilla start is where this mod shines.

When the Skyrim title popped up and Ralof says his famous "Hey you, you're finally awake", it played Arena’s main theme and I was like “wait this is actually fitting”. Then as soon as I got out the cave with Ralof, it played Oblivion’s main theme when we descended to Riverwood. I fanboyed really hard.

The only problem I got is that it commonly plays Daggerfall's music and some of the tracks sound kind of goofy admittedly, especially "GSNEAK2". But I've gotten used to it.
Personally I would like my music set-up to be that Oblivion's combat music plays more frequently alongside Skyrim's. Because I mostly just get Skyrim's.
Is there a way to make certain music play more frequently?

I can't find my Oblivion soundtrack. I looked in the data folder but it's not there. Morrowind's music was in the right place. Is there another place it could be?

edit: Oh good lord, I had the game uninstalled by mistake lol.

Followup question: I'm doing a conversion of a Daggerfall music mod I found online to work with this mod, so the music doesn't sound quite as...synthy I guess? but anyway. I noticed in the soundrack I found that there's quite a few more tracks than what is included with this mod. I was wondering if I should leave those tracks out, or if it would be okay to include them as well, as long as I converted the names appropriately?

Hello! I was just wondering if this mod still works good on the current version of the game and the new mods (such as the new AOS with its Sound Record Distributor) or will it need some updates and patches? Thanks!

When I use the MultiXWM after it finishes the conversion and tells me to look in the output folder their is nothing there and I don't know why. Also when I try using another audio converter like "Skyrim audio converter" or "Yakitori audio converter" they both give me errors as follows - " The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR100.dll was not found " I have no idea what that dll is and I need assistance.

Ummmm.... I guess I just misunderstood your instructions on an initial step. You had meant to download the GAMES of Morrowwind and Oblivion from an online service.Well, I thought you'd meant to download the SOUNDTRACKS from the games. So, I just bought / downloaded the Oblivion soundtrack (as mp3's) from Amazon. (I never played either Morrowwind or Oblivion. I just really enjoyed Jeremy Soule's Skyrim Soundtrack, so when I saw he wrote those two as well... well... I listened to them on Amazon Music and realized they were definitely in keeping with the overall tone of the Skyrim soundtrack.)

I'm guessing this will still be okay? I mean, I think I can continue with the instructions: convert them all to .wavs an shove them in the appropriate game data folder. But then, what ends up being in the Mods/The Elder Scrolls Master Soundtrack/Music, Oblivion folder? I'm thinking... the mod needs to know which ones to use for combat? Or is that already built-in?

Noticed this in the extended instructions:
"Alternatively, many versions and masters of these soundtracks already exist online and can be used here by converting them to WAV or XWM; the only restriction is that their filenames must be adjusted to match the ones used in the original game files, since those were used as the basis of this mod."

And I see the final list of file names I should expect to have (atmosphere_ , battle_ , dungeon_ , etc). So it seems like all I need is a list of what soundtrack file name should be converted to what final file name. But then it also says I should have 28 files for Oblivion, but the soundtrack only has 25?

Just wanted to report that that worked. Converting my .wav soundtrack files to the filenames identified in that list did end up working. It took a little while, but I started hearing the new music in-game.

The only thing I'm not sure about is that I wasn't sure, from the directions, whether the files should be placed in the actual Skyrim game files subdirectory that's identified in the instructions... OR in the Mod's actual folder in my Mods directory that Mod Manager 2 uses. So, I put the converted files into BOTH locations.

I'll probably buy Morrowwind's soundtrack later on today and repeat the whole process with those files.
      Thanks very much!

Crap! Bought the Morrowind soundtrack off of Amazon. Downloaded everything.Converted to .wavs.But then I look here: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:MusicAnd the track names don't line up at all. Not even close. I have track names like "A Land of War and Poetry", "AzurasCoast" and "TelvanniTowers".<sigh>

Sorry to hear that - I can't provide any guidance on matching up the Morrowind track names since I only have the soundtracks from the game downloads, but I hope this ends up working out for you.

"Call of Magic" and "Nerevar Rising" seem to be the same track so you can just go down the line the same as the Oblivion OST

DR4296: I'm not sure if you were still having trouble with this, but the track names you list are from the soundtrack to 'Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind' (music for a DLC of Elder Scrolls Online, composed mostly by Brad Derrick) not the soundtrack to 'Morrowind' (the music composed by Jeremy Soule). Hope that helps.

This should be compatible with MMI (Morrowind Music Integration) mod, am I correct? That way, all that remains is Oblivion soundtrack to add manually and that means less works. Hopefully it won't have any problems with the other music mods like Immersive Music or the already mentioned MMI...

If installing manually, make sure the folders are labelled 'Morrowind' and 'Oblivion' respectively and place them in the Data/Music folder. If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 you can place the oblivion and Morrowind folders in a folder called 'Data', compress into a zip file, and add that. I realized the instructions should have been more explicit there, so I've updated the mod page to reflect that.

Hey thanks so much for your reply im currently still trying to get this to work im having no luck so far i took both soundtracks oblivion and morrowind from there game files and then i converted them to WAV format using itunes i then did what you said i kept the tracks names the same and made a separate folder for each one i then made a folder titled data and another titled music and place oblivion and morrowind into that file then compressed it to a zip and installed it using SSE MO2 and in game only skyrim tracks are playing also my skyrim folder doesnt have a data/music folder so when i installed it it didnt show up there. I am using the skyrim 2021 mod overhaul but i removed the music mods so it wouldnt interfere. is there anything else i am doing wrong or missing? any more help would be great thank you
