Yes, as long as they use default eyes, since this mod just replaces those default eyes. It won't affect characters with unique eyes. For example, the "Bijin" mods make some characters use new custom eyes just for them, instead of having them use default eyes, so this mod would not affect them.
I also happened to release a sort of remade version of this mod today.
Nope, I use Natural Eyes for everything else, and just install mine on top for humans. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10099 But yeah, the ones you linked are a perfect addition.
I like natural for elves/mer ... for argonian and khajits they seem pretty boring though ... do you also opt for improved eyes over eyes of beauty for elves/mer?
You consider authentic eyes superior to everything? I am trying it in game, donno it it is my ENB but something doesn't look quite right using it... Donno if that's SUEMR meshes though.
No. It is very good overall, and creates great depth and reflections, but just a few of the diffuse textures look are a bit weird to me.
When I think about it, it depends on many things including ENB, your monitor, and calibration ... which is why I myself made 2 eye mods, and I've come to appreciate the strengths of a few eye mods besides Authentic Eyes, like the ones from Fair Skin, both of mine, and Natural Eyes.
I still think mine are good, and I'll edit the description to list all those as good alternatives instead of implying that one is completely superior.
Well I do wonder if you might know what's going on here.
I did a facegen on my load order and I seem to be encountering some strange eye issues with meshes and reflections... this is the most extreme example under certain lighting/angles the eyes seem to get very opaque reflection and some eye lash clipping. I do use an ENB but I haven't experienced this before.
I am using HMB -> Expressive facial animations+morphs -> Authentic Eyes -> SUEMR eye meshes -> AO eye clipping fix for SUEMR -> Shiva's HQ tint masks currently
I don't know. I've encountered it before while using a different set of mods (usually near a lightsource like in your pic). I think I was using: Natural Eyes -> Mild Eyes -> 5und43f1n3d317y's Eye Normals (from oldrim nexus) -> SUEMR eye meshes -> AO eye clipping fix for SUEMR.
I would first try toggling ENB to see if one of its effects is causing it. But if it's one of the eye mods, then I don't know where to begin.
Can these be picked as an elf, or are they just for humans?
I'm using racemenu to change the elven triangleheads to a human shape, but the selection of eye colors for elves makes me want to weep (especially since they all have yellow to dark gray 'eye whites'.
Just for humans, unless you can find a mod that makes human eyes available for elves (I didn't see one after a quick & basic search). For what it's worth, I use Natural Eyes with its optional file for alternative elf eyes. Don't know if that's right for you though.
I 'm building a mod list after an absence of six years. I haven't decided on an ENB yet but, after auditioning every eye mod out there, this is my clear favorite for vanilla. Those baby blues and pastel greens... Nice, and from a distance, too, where most eye mods become irrelevant. Heartily endorsed.
It's not needed because this has a normal map included, but try it with and without Eye Normal Map fix and go with the look you like prefer. As for SUEMR SSE, yeah the default yellow is best.
I've been trying to find eyes that look realistic in both color and brightness for a long time now and have had to settle for textures that look a bit off in color or are far too bright. Following the advice on the description page, I tried these textures in combination with Natural Eyes and Skyrim's Ultimate Eye Meshes Ruhmastered SSE, and WOW! I can finally say that my search is over! Not only do these textures check all the boxes for what I'm looking for, but they also have the perfect shade of pale blue that I've been after for my Nord character. Thanks so much for this! :D
I want the vampire eyes in red, if you're not willing to add that, I could edit them myself but is it a good idea to work with a BC7 compressed .dds file instead of raw .psd?
I'll just send you the PSD. But to answer your question, a BC7 file wouldn't be too bad to work with unless you are going to see the texture close-up, since it doesn't degrade quality as much as the older compression formats did.
No what i mean is, i edit dds files constantly, but this one gives me a format error. doesn't seem to be in DXT1 or DXT5 or anything. am i just being dumb and missing something here?
It's actually BC7, which I believe doesn't have a DXT equivalent. I got the plugin here: https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-texture-works-plugin
Edit: for this reason, most image viewers also won't read it and will show a blank image.
I think you're right. When i save something in BC7, part of the BC7 description says "only DX11+ level H/W". I don't know exactly what that means, but there you go.
Oh, in case you were wondering about the eyebrows in the image, those are from Maevan2's eye brows: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2964

They seem so lacking compared to yours... can you recommend a good eye companion mod for them?
edit I found these two and they compliment yours fine.

would your cubemap work with the authentic eyes reflection texture?

does this only effect females?
I should use the eye normal map fix with this right? Do I give it priority overwrite over quaint eyes? as seems to be the case with most eye mods?
also if I am using SUEMR SSE with Bijin AIO 2019 Support

I assume default glow mesh is best?
