This did not work for me at all. I had all the rooms that were described. But Brynjolf cannot and did not became a follower nor a lover. The supposed conversation with him did not even work at all. I've always wanted a mod to marry Brynjolf but alas, still nothing.
Did you pick up the journal from the shelf near the cistern ladder to Riften? I didn't see it mentioned in the description but saw it in the comments here. I picked it up and it started the quest to get Bryjolf to folllow!
So I wanted to use this mod because "who wouldn't want to romance our sexy boi!" But sadly there's an issue with this mod that if you use it together with Pandorables Male NPC, it causes the brown face bug to appear for Bryn and all the male NPC's in the thieves guild. Can you please make a patch or a fix for this issue???
Just a heads up, in case anyone is wanting some more fun. The Immersive Lap Sitting mod works VERY well with this one. Especially in the baths. I haven't started the expansion yet and don't know if it also works with that one, but I'll post on that forum once I get around to it. You're welcome!
I've used both of those mods together. It'll bug the quest line pretty badly (to the point you can't complete the questline). If you want to use both, I'd install Friendly Brynjolf after you've completed the Brynjolf has time for you quest lines. Although the dialog options show up for both mods, so you have to figure out which "version" of Brynjolf is following you around. Friendly Brynjolf uses the regular NPC (mechanics? I don't know, I don't make mods) and will act as a normal follower would. the BHTfY one uses a different one and has less options in that regard (can't ride a companion horse, can't command the follower to do things.) Either way, I've played with both before and had a lot of fun with it. You just need to be careful.
Sorry to have been absent for so long from Nexus. Just wanted to let you know that the expansion to the mod is finished and it is very much an improvement on the original. I hope it is more compatible and I tried to take care to make no changes to the NPC's so that you can hopefully use all the best skins and presets. My scripting has improved and my ability to re-cutting of the vanilla dialogue is like night and day. Eventually, Brynjolf will even tell you "I love you". Now if that isn't a miracle, I don't know what is! It can be found under the title of "Brynjolf and the Riften Guild". Currently it is available here on Nexus for Skyrim LE, but it is my intention to port it to SE by New Year's day, barring any glitches. After that, I will no longer be supporting this mod, as the new one is so much extended and improved. Thank you so much for all your interest.
I have a bug that makes me unable to have brynolf as a folllower. So, what happened was, I got the diary and the amulet of mara, and asked him to follow me before I anything else, however he doesn't, and the dialogue to dismiss him and to ask him to follow me is gone. Does anyone know of a solution? (Sorry for possible bad spelling, not a native english speaker)
This bug occurs if You will dismiss Brynjolf, while being in the area of Cistern, the Ragged Flagon or anywhere on the guild territory. Just go anywhere outside if You want to dismiss him (just in case, anywhere except Riften). I hope this information will be helpful, however, I don't think You can do much if this bug has already appeard, in that case You need to reinstall this mod. I'm sorry for any grammatical or syntax errors, feel free to correct me, english is not my native language.
