I didn't take any new screenshots for this version as I am unfortunately very limited by my PC hardware at the moment and as such can barely run SSE, let alone to a screenshot standard, so all screenshots are for the classic version of the game. I did test these files out in game and they work very much like they did previously so aesthetically the images are still a good preview.
If you already have downloaded the mod for Classic Skyrim, the files are exactly the same as they didn't need any further tweaking, so you can use that download instead if you like, although I would like the download stats so I can see a better estimate of which version is being used the most for any future textures I may make.
As I said in the download for the scabbard psd file, if you guys make any scabbard designs you would like me to upload, please let me know because I'd be happy to do so. I would then also provide support and fixes for them if any issues arise at all. If you would like to upload them yourself on a separate page you must first get GhostintheMachin6 permission as it's his textures I adapted for the scabbard. You have my permission to publish if he gives his, just let me know in a comment because I'd LOVE to see what you guys come up with.
I'm not planning any further updates to this file, other then uploading user scabbard designs, unless someone comes up with a scabbard design they would like me to do myself that I think is particularly awesome. Other suggestions are welcome as well, though no guarantees I will do them.
Enjoy the mod guys!
Edit: Sorry for the delay with the files today guys. Had to reupload because the link in NMM was pointing at JKs Lite instead of this file because I made a mistake in one of the installer files.
i've actually been trying for like 5 hours as of writing this. this mod is *not* installed anymore yet refuses to go away no matter i do. in the time spent trying to fix the issue i've grown to hate this mod deeply.
I don't know if you're still around or if you'd be willing or not, but could you make a patch for the sheaths to work with the dragonbone longsword and claymore in Expanded Skyrim Weaponry? I tried it myself, but obviously don't know how to do it correctly. Here's a link to the mod if you don't already know what it is: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2300
Regardless, thanks for the mod, it looks great!
Nevermind, I figured it out! it might not be as clean as the original but I'll take it lol
Easy fix (and this worked for me): Unpack the rar-file to a folder with the same name as the rar. Create a folder called "99 None" inside that folder. The folders in that folder should now look like this: ------------------------- 00 Main Normals 01 Main Files Darker 01 Main Files Lighter 02 New Arrow 02 Vanilla Arrow 03 Full Scabbard Texture 1 03 Full Scabbard Texture 2 03 Short Scabbard Texture 1 03 Short Scabbard Texture 2 04 Fixed Meshes - for Opaque Full Scabbard 04 Optional - Transparent Meshes for Full Scabbard 04 Required For Short Scabbard - Transparent Meshes 99 None fomod ------------------------- Re-pack the folder to a rar again.
Possible alternative fixes (this is just guesswork on my part because I don't know exactly how the FOMOD xml file gets interpreted.
1. In ModuleConfig.xml in the fomod folder change this line (both occurences in the file): <folder destination="" source="99 None"/> to <folder destination="" source=""/>
or
2. Delete the line (both occurences in the file) <folder destination="" source="99 None"/>
I didn't test 1 and 2 since creating a folder named "99 None" worked for me.
Look, I like the redesign of the weapons, a lot. But please, please, please, give us an option to have the greatsword without a sheath. I am begging you. I want to be able to see the new style whenever I'm walking forward in third person view. Or tell me which file adds the scabbard and I'll delete it form my game manually. Please.
I was using the dragonbone greatsword and was looking for enhanced textures. Your engraving sold it for me.
I have always digged the runes on the sword Witcher style, and was actually subconciously looking for just that. The transparent Scabbard is genius. I never even knew I wanted it before I saw it here.
