    IMPORTANT:
This fix works for all versions of Skyrim SE and AE before v1.6.1130.

The "Creations" update (v1.6.1130 and later) introduced new changes to the menu.
If you're on these versions, use SkyUI SE - Difficulty Persistence Fix instead, which includes this Flashing Savegames Fix.

Complete Widescreen Fix can be used as well, as it has both the Flashing Savegames Fix and the Difficulty Persistence Fix integrated.

I initially got this game to fix the problem - which it did. For a time.

For some reason though, now it seems to be the CAUSE of the problem.

    No idea how that happened....

So on Skyui Difficulty persistency fix , it's description says "This mod includes Flashing savegames fix. Use that instead of this mod if you're using a game version older than v1.6.1130."

But on your page description it says: "The "Creations" update (v1.6.1130 and later) introduced new changes to the menu.
If you're on these versions, use SkyUI SE - Difficulty Persistence Fix instead, which includes this Flashing Savegames Fix."

Is this some kind of cruel joke?
My version is 1.6.1170, lol each one points to the other so I'm confused which should i use?

Both cause CTD when hitting the escape key for me on version 1.6.1170.0.8.

This caused an issue in my Skyrim VR, where I was allowed to save once, but upon the second time the game froze at the save window with a message saying "Saving content.  Please do not turn off the console.".  I uninstalled this mod and all of its archive, and the problem was gone.  My advice for VR users is not to install this mod.

You're right, I had the exact same problem, in VR too.

I could save exactly once, and the second time I got to the system menu tab the game would always freeze showing the save list, even though I hadn't actually opened it (and weirdly it showed my character level as 1).

Removing this mod fixed it immediately. Glad I suspected that mod and found your message before nuking my mod list.

THANK YOU!!! The constant flashing of my save menu was driving me crazy, and I wish I knew about this much sooner. Does exactly what it's intended to, much appreciated! ♥

I updated my .net runtime in a update and now this is being weird. Its asking me to restore or download runtime 6.0.26 and then it downloads in in vortex, but it still says its "never installed" on vortex and everytime i save now the game crashes. Fix please? thanks

This mod caused my v.1.6.1170.0 Skyrim install to crash without a log every time I hit the Esc key. (I used a binary search pattern within my installed mods to confirm it was this one specifically.) Based on the sticky post, I'll try Complete Widescreen Fix instead.

Hey man, so just looking at the sticky left by the author just above I can tell you that your version is not covered by this mod.

If I use this, do I need the journal fix OStim Standalone requires?

Quest Journal Fix also includes this fix and works with all version. Difficulty Persistence Fix only works for 1.6.1130+

Quest Journal Fix causes CTDs when trying to open menus if you use SkyUI.

Works in my 1.5.80 version. Thank you for the free fix/mod.
