I only seem to be getting the negatives, no positives. I lost the basic spells, but got no boost to jump or anything else, except for the night vision and the claws do 15 dmg. I downloaded the hotfix but there's nothing that says how to use it, just a text file with some kind of code in it. Please help!
That's because the script that modifies the jumping parameters is syntactically correct but semantically wrong (meaning it doesn't cause any errors but also doesn't work) because the check for the player race is done incorrectly. the added movement types that are supposed to modify the movement speed for khajiit don't affect the player (they might affect NPCs, I havn't found a good way to test this). This means that both the speed and jump modifiers do nothing/may as well not exist. In the meantime I would suggest using the mod this was based on: Khajiit Prowess by shadowphoton Khajiit Prowess at Skyrim Special Edition Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com), however that changes the values for all Races and all Humanoid NPCs. I am also currently working on a mod that includes movement and jump modifiers only for khajiit players, but that probably won't be release-ready for another week or two.
This lowly Khajiit is most grateful for your solution to the forces that try so vigorously to make him feel inadequate. The roads here are so cold that without enough bounce to his step, he would have to sit his sensitive hind-quarters on the cold cold ground to warm his feet. And the extra length to his claws makes rooting out the damnable fleas so much easier. The Nords have yet to discover the wonders of bathing, making the beard-fleas and lice that hide in one's small clothes fat and relentless, neh? This mod isn't entirely working for me. The hotfix instructions worked to fix the jump height, but I'm not seeing any faster running speed. The starting spells were removed though. Any ideas?
Nice! I was just looking for something like this but didn't like the prowess mod cause it affects everything you play (not just khajiits) also you changed more things wich i like.. "* Changed the Khajiit's unarmed slot to require either hand instead of both" <- Can you clarify what this means?
the creation kit does not provide any details regarding the "Unarmed Equip Slot", but by default -- for any playable race -- the "Unarmed Equip Slot" is set to "Both Hands". I simply changed it to "Either Hand" for the Khajiit races.
I don't know for certain how this will affect unarmed damage, and it might cause the khajiit to register as unarmed even if it has a weapon equipped, thus dealing unarmed damage on top of weapon damage. If it does i will need to change it back.
