So is this improvement mod redundant now after the original mod was updated on 08 Oct 2018 to Immersive Laundry 1.0d SSE ?

per the stickied comment on Salvinha's page:

04 September 2021, 12:37AM Version 1.1. Forgot to run Nifoptimizer after Nifskope. Fixed.
Can be used with Immersive Laundry Improvement ILIM by Pfuscher. Load it like this:
      1° Immersive Laundry
2° Immersive Laundry by Pfuscher - Overwrite first.
3° Immersive Laundry mesh fixes SSE Port - Overwrite both.
Or just simply download it manually, delete the meshes folder from the zip file and install it.
You will get the textures of Pfuscher and these corrected meshes.

Make sure this gets stickied here too Pfuscher

I keep getting update notifications for this mod on a daily basis for some reason. Vortex is informing me that the current version is 1.0, and not 1.0.0 like in my list. I tried downloading it automatically several times - the notification goes away for one day, then returns. Any ideas?

My framerate plummets whenever I come close or run into the clothing hanging up outside Riverwood nearest the bridge. Like... 60fps constant down to 7fps chugging. I step back away from the laundry by a meter and I'm back to normal.

Not sure why, maybe a mesh issue? I shouldn't have any other mod that conflicts with it.

I keep trying to use these, but the water comes out either black or invisible What am I doing wrong? I got all the tubs, the laundry and the scrub boards and brushes, but NO water! HELP! PLEASE! (of course I have made Dupes of everything, but still the water don't work!)

Yea, I actually was wondering about the updated version as MichelleBrujah mentioned.

I'm going to just assume that your tweaks are good to place over packofnerds recent update on the 7th of October, Immersive Laundry 1.0d SSE?

    Update notes:
    Spoiler:
    Show

    From the Changelog:
            Version 1.0d
    •             Slimmed down rug meshes a bit so they don't look so ridiculous. Removed collision from clothesline meshes entirely, by popular request.
    •             Optimized textures; reduced resolution in a few cases where they just didn't need to be that big, used better compression formats all around. Cut most file sizes way down.
    •             Removed "scrubby" logos from wooden objects, because those have always been a bit weird. This was kind of "quick and dirty" work; I did not remove them from normal maps so there might be a faint trace left.
    •             Added environment maps for metal objects.
    •             Removed specular maps that never worked right.

    From a stickied comment:
The new update has a lot of fixes I've been meaning to get to for a while now!

Collision has been entirely removed from all the clotheslines, by popular request. It might not be 100% immersive this way but it will resolve the NPC pathing issues. The collision on those things was pretty bad to begin with, and didn't always line up with the shape of the laundry.

I finally got around to "slimming down" the rug meshes, which were always kind of outrageous. They're not completely flat like the unofficial update that's been floating around for a while, because I still wanted them to look 3D, but they're about half as thicc as they used to be. I also slightly squished a few of the clothing/sheet meshes, if they looked too boxy.

I took another pass at ALL of the textures... removed specular maps that never worked right anyway, used better DXT compression on all diffuse maps, resolved a couple of transparency bugs. I scaled down most normal maps and saved uncompressed, which might give you mixed results...

I scaled down the resolution of a few textures... some of them were over 1k which was really not necessary for this mod, and didn't really make them look much better... You guys can let me know if anything actually suffered for it, but these were never really amazing HD textures to begin with, they were just inconsistent.

I also rather quickly erased the painted logos from the wooden things... Those were a bit weird. They're still there in the normal maps, so if you squint at them there might be a faint appearance of a carved logo...

I added cube maps to the metallic parts of the wash tubs, complete with custom environment maps so they will sparkle just right.

No changes to the plugin at this time, but if anyone is feeling industrious, you can go through my texture sets and clear out any remaining references to specular maps. They're gone from the download and I think I cleared the references out of all the meshes, which is the important thing.

Please note: I still don't use SSE myself, so I was only able to preview all these changes in Nifskope. Please report if anything turned out funky. The old texture download is still there if you need it.

Either way, thanks for doing these texture improvements you do.  I appreciated it.

I'm sorry for the stupid question, but, as your fix is only the meshes and texture folders, will it work with the replacer .esp from the JK Skyrim patches?

Yes, it should work fine. The JKS replacer patch (and JKS+DOS replacer patch) simply moves some of the laundry to avoid clipping. Since Pfuscher's mod only replaces the textures and meshes and doesn't contain a .esp file then there is no conflict.

      ^THIS.

What Teabag said. Might help to Pin/Sticky this part to help future downloaders to save them the trouble.

Thanks so much for all of your excellent work :) Most recently I've started using your WR floors, waterplants, and water textures. Which I just dropped by to endorse. Pretty sure I'm using your oldrim Cow retex as it's the favourite of the ones I've tried.

I was just checking out this one when I saw the link to the original mod is broken. It's missing the : after https
