Q: Can you do better images showing differences? A: I hate to do this , I prefer to spend time on doing the modification. Remember, these are all NIF files that you can install or uninstal at any time without any problems.
Q: Can you change installer to do "x y z"? A: Installer for NMM is "as it is" only errors that prevent correct installations will be corrected. Apart from that, you have the choice to install or skip Each modified weapon or shield. The choice is yours...
Q: When the next update? A: When will be ready.
Q: Is it possible that you (Me) reduce the "thickness" of Weapon or Shield from modification "x y z"? A: Get for me permission from the person who created/edit mesh, and we'll see what I can do.
Q: I do not like (place here what you do not like) can you change it? A: Comments like "I do not like this modification" will be ignored. I do not mind criticism, but do it the right way, give your reasons and I will try to take them into account.
Q: I asked a question to which the answer is already in the F.A.Q. or on the main page and I still do not see the answer. A: All the stars in the sky extinguish faster than you get the answer to such a question.
The modification is not dead. Insane Armory Remake
Sample of what will soon be available. All weapons (Axes, Hammers, Maces, Swords, Bows, Arrows, Unique Weapons and Daedric Artefacts) will be reshapen from scratch. The aim is realism, keeping the original design as much as possible.
Each standard weapon will have 11-14 variants.
One for standard weapons.(Daedric War Axe)
And one for each magical version. Daedric War Axe of Devouring (Absorb Health) Daedric War Axe of Despair (Fear) Daedric War Axe of Thunderbolts (Shock Damage) etc...
This does not apply to unique weapons (Aegisbane, Blade of Sacrifice) or daedric artefacts (Volendrung or Dawnbreaker) they will only have one version.
All unique weapons that share meshes with ordinary weapons (Aegisbane, Blade of Sacrifice) will also have their unique meshes based on the original meshes. For example Zephyr Bow it looks exactly like a regular Dwemer Bow and so on.
I also fix all problems I notice. (UV seams, problems with geometry, unnecessary invisible triangles etc ...)
F.A.Q.
Q: Is it going to be compatible with (put in here the name of the modification you are asking about) modification? A: My modification will replace multiple meshes (NIF) or records (ESP) from orginal game. So any modification that edits these meshes or records will be incompatible.
Ever since I started playing again, I've noticed that this mod no longer affects the regular ebony bow, no matter what settings I choose for it... it changes the silvered ebony bow from AmidianBorn, but the vanilla and gilded are left completely untouched for some reason... ;-;
Edit: Scratch that - the Gilded Ebony Bow seems to inherit the 25% size reduction, despite me choosing 50%. vanilla ebony remains unchanged, and the silvered bow is changed as it should be.
I do not like 1. additional edges on maces should be optional, cause it removes personality. 2. pommels on daedric maybe was too big but its for porpose not sliping away on fast swing. 3. cirle shaped tip of steel hummer looks out of design, original shape much more fit. 4. ebony weapons rod too thin, look like its gonna trenble on hit or break, on axe its bended already). upsidedown pommel on waraxe. 5. molagbals mace too thin that even skull like pattern barely visible. 6. elven hummer too thick on top. 7. bows in original has thin parts and very fat parts, so the fat parts became normal but thin looks like it almost breaks and what is more important that bows should be thinned on other axis cause in law of phisics this shape will bend it on side when pulling. strings to thin, so they look like made of modern materials like carbon or cevlar. can you change it? All the rest I DO like, and enjoying your weapons in the game, so THANKS for a great job, that feels more realistic and immersive now, a freash breath).
I have the bound bow at -25% and the FX have stopped working. They are still there but they don't move around and just stay still, it looks really weird
Whole animation for Bound Bow takes 7,633s (mBegin=2.967s and mLoop=4.666s) mBegin is played when you recall a Bound Bow then over and over again mLoop is played. I checked again, both Bound Bow versions and everything works properly I looked at each version for ~60s so animation repeated seven times without problems. So problem is on your side.
If you manage to find the cause please write what caused the problem because my meshes are not the cause.
I would like to say that I have the same problem with the bound bow. With -25% size reduction the effects on it freeze. When I deactivate the mod, or just reinstall it without bound bow option, it works fine. It is possible that something else is conflicting with this, but there is no other mod that touches bound bow, nor daedric bow meshes. If it is anything, it will be hidden, like some weird particle effect patch or something. BTW GREAT MOD, I love pretty much every mesh and I cannot play without this.
I picked the -50% option and ran into the same problem. I have no other mod that messes with the bow meshes in any way, so I don't know why this is happening.
The bound bow's one of my favorite weapons, so it's kind of a bummer honestly, especially when everything else looks amazing.
I too had the same problem with the flames animation freezing after a few seconds. I deactivated the mod and the problem went away . Instead of uninstalling the whole mod, I found the bound bow nif in the mod and removed it. I then replaced it with the standard boundbow.nif from the Data\Meshes\magic03\weapons folder in my Skyrim install. Maybe I could have just deleted the one from the mod and it would have defaulted to the standard nif. In any event, problem went away. So, I think the boundbow.nif in the mod may have an issue. However, as insaneplumber says it works for him, maybe the nif and another mod together is causing the problem.
Other than that one little blip, I definitely appreciate the mod insaneplumber, so thanks for sharing.
It's fantastic having an axe/mace/hammer revamp alongside Leanwolf's swords! While I'm honestly OK with some of the vanilla warhammers (iron, steel, and maybe dwarven) and wouldn't like to see them shrunken down so much, overall these changes seem in-line with what was optimal for medieval weapons.
One question: Will this mod play nice with a retexture like Frost White Glass and Armor that doesn't affect weapon shapes?
Everything looks awesome and super deadly (except maybe the steel/iron/dwemer- probably more realistic but makes them look less deadly imo sorry) THANX!!!!
No idea how this mod has slipped under my radar for so long.
While I use other mods for weapons/bows etc this mod is still much needed for the shield meshes. Been playing for many years and the fact I never thought to check to see if a mod fixed those vanilla meshes on shields amazes me.
Personally using the -25% on the shields and that alone has made a huge difference in how they look for the better. I haven't tried the -50% as from the screenshots it looked make the shields look a bit to thin with that option.
Not sure if the author is still active in modding through I can see replies in the forums, but was wondering if a -35% option would see more balance?
Still as I said above I'm happy with the thinner -25% and looks so much better then vanilla. Thank you for the mod.
The mod author is no longer active but its quite alright to do so as long as credits are given. One of his mods descriptions even said it was alright to edit meshes and such

You are also the first person who reports any problems with Bound Bow.
Video from Youtube is private so I have no way to see the problem about which you wrote.
Whole animation for Bound Bow takes 7,633s (mBegin=2.967s and mLoop=4.666s)
