I agree on this. Wouldn´t mind the axe on the back to be somewhat bigger, and the handheld axe to be smaller (the character doesn´t even hold it all the way back in any case. It would look even better if the held and carried axe would´ve been roughly the same size.
Love the mod! For campfire users, there is very noticeable clipping when the backpack displays both this axe mesh and the bedroll, but I was able to fix this myself pretty easily. I'm not sure if uploading the edited mesh is permitted, so I'll write out what I did here for others.
1. Download a .bsa extractor and nifskope 2. Find the file "_camp_backpackfx_bedroll" in Meshes/Campfire, open in nifskope 3. Right-click the bedroll and select "Transform > Edit" 4. In the popup, the first row is the XYZ values. Click the up arrow for the Y value just once, so it is now -17.046600, then click Accept. 5. Save the mesh and plop into your Data/Meshes/Campfire install folder!
This pulls the bedroll closer to the character's back by just the right amount to eliminate the clipping with Halk's reworked axe. With no axe on the backpack, the difference is completely unnoticeable.
You should work on meshes for classic Skyrim then convert them to SSE. It's not possible to convert meshes from SSE to LE, but from LE to SSE it's a one-click job with Nif Optimizer. Would be a shame not to be able to use your newer mods since you're making them only for SSE.
This is just a slight remaster and port to SSE from classic Skyrim Realistic HD mods which were released in 2014-2015. So if you want this for Oldrim, just download version from 2015.
The specular map looks too dull. The diffuse looks great and detailed but it's not shiny at all. Try to make the blade more shiny to capture the metallic feel.
Hi, I just want to thank you for porting this mod over to SSE, it looks fantastic and I love the detail that went into it so it can have varying textures in other mods . If I may ask though, will you be porting both 2k and 1k textures from the oldrim mod SSE?

Just a suggestion.
One critique though:
