Posting this here because it helped me: The patch for Lanterns of Skyrim II does not work with this mod. It causes CTDs in a few cells. I was able to determine it was that patch through the crash report utility. I stumbled on a bug report on this mod that was able to shed some light on that. Use this patch instead: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/47360?tab=description

    Fixed my CTDs

Give your kudos to bientje if this helps you.

Yup, it's the lanterns of skyrim II patch for this mod.  It's borked.

Maybe a bit late, but thank you very much for this post. I'm building my mod list to start a new playthrough and I confirm that the LoS patch causes CTD. Choosing the start "escape this cell" with Alternate Start and going up the mountain road to Ivarstead caused a CTD as soon as I reached the village sawmill. With the indicated patch everything works perfectly.

      Thanks again.

What's fixed with this mod? I'm using the original version and it seems okay so far... should I switch? Why? :)

Beware of using this mod, it CTD when starting a new game. I Had to comb through my list for 30+mins to find that this is the cause.

It doesn't. You have broken/wrong patches or something else going wrong with load order.

I'm seeing a lot of doubling with this mod.  Two sign posts very near each other, with some of the signs on each post duplicated.

    Anyone else?

(I do have LoS II installed, but also the stand alone Patch.)

      Where are some of them?

Do you have Cutting Room Floor (and its patch) or Point the Way in your mod list?

I guess it's caused by Lux via. Although Lux via has a patch for Weather Road Signs, it doesn't solve the problem of floating

Using this mod will crash your game at areas around Helgen and Ivarstead. Took me 3 hours to figure out that this mod was causing it.

Are you using LoS II? The patch provided is for the old version of Weathered Road Signs, there's a patch for this fixed version in the requirements tab.

Guys, you need to provide crash reports from .net script framework/crash logger. Otherwise saying - "this mod caused CTD" is useless. It may be caused by literally any mod in existence (outdated patch for example).

This little sub thread saved me potentially hours. I worry about Lux and the hundreds of patches it creates and yes, the random crash is with Weathered Signs but it is NOT WS's fault. The Lux Triad is creating patches for the old version and they are blowing s#*! up.

Perhaps if there is going to be another Weathered update, even though it is NOT this authors fault you could think of changing the name of the .esp. Weathered Signs New? Weathered Signs Orange? Just to prevent Lux from confusing it's little head.

Hi! The signs look great thanks for sharing your work. :)  I wanted to ask if there's a version with a bit less signage? Personally I find it a bit unrealistic that there are so many signs on the posts pointing to very small villages so far away. I don't know who's navigating to Dragon's Bridge from the Rift without just heading towards Whiterun and/or Solitude first :p

Hello mnikjom, first of all, thanks a lot for the mod, in my playthrough, where I have to rely on the signs to find my way, especially in the dusk, is helping a lot. But do you think there is a way to make it work with Point the Way? you know, as I'm making a very hard immersion modlist, having some more signs would really help not to get lost, and in the northern areas, where the cold is extreme and the food scarce, it may make the difference between life and death!

    thanks again!
