Missing Masters error like others report, the plugin it's asking for for better dynamic snow is the pre 3.0 one, before the SE was added to the plugin. I want it to work but im not willing to go back to pre 3.0 BDS as i like the additions. Still tracking to see if it gets fixed
There is nothing to fix. The author of BDS has stated that my patch is no longer needed with BDS v3 and above. However, if you are using a version of BDS lower than v3, you will still need my patch.
Just curious, doesn't majestic mountains already have a built in snow shader that would make this slightly redundant or is there much more to it than that?
Do you recommend using this with Cathedral Landscapes that also apparently has some kind of built in shader meant to mimic BDS somewhat?
I have, but I am still unsure what the benefit would be of using BDS if using MM with Cathedral Landscapes when both already a built in snow shader, or if all 3 together would be overkill? Aside form that the SSE parallax shader fix pretty much requires BDS.
But using CL and MM; with or without majestic landscapes and no BDS with the right snow settings I don't seem to notice a big dif but I suppose I mine as well just go for it!
CL doesn't have any conflicting static records, but it does change some settings of the MM shaders directly. I make BDS' custom shaders appear on the MM SNOW mountains, thus, any custom changes to the mountain SNOW shaders themselves wouldn't matter because this patch doesn't use them anyway. I am unaware of the specific conflicts between BDS and CL, in regards to anything not snow mountain related.
Can somebody explain to me please why does Better Dynamic Majestic Mountais work only with .esp part of the mods and not .esl?
I've had the bug while in .esl mode, but when I switched both mods to .esp it straight away fixed my white rocks issue. I would love to know the exact reason behind this odd interaction please
Is this mod still needed with the newest BDS version? As in, do I need to wait for this to be updated, or is an updated version unnecessary and obsolete?
If it is still needed it will need to be updated. Techangel renamed the plugin so any patches using the old version of BDS will no longer work.
edit: It sounds like it will no longer be needed... but if you're using 3.0 keep in mine it doesn't support parallax enabled meshes as the previous version

I don't understand what is wrong with this community sometimes... Always blaming the author and never considering that it is quite possibly the fault of the user.
Why tf you going off at me for? All I stated was what actually happened, the mod author had the mod hidden. What did I even say that made you react like that Leafeater? How is it my, or anyone's, fault he had the mod hidden?
It doesn't matter now anyway as it is back up like others said.
@Majorshepard: I think Leafeater was just saying that in general. I don't think he was directing that at you. He was just talking about how toxic the Nexus community can be at times.
Hey, I'm sorry to be this person, but would you be able to tell me what exactly you changed? I have your patch merged into a big master patch and I wanna forward your new changes but I'm not sure exactly what you did.
Just download (don't install) the older version of MM, rename the main plugins, install just the renamed plugins. Then install the new version of MM. Next, install my patch and look at all 3 in xEdit to see what was changed from MM and what I carried over. Should be easy enough.

This patch is for bds v2.11 or older.
Do not use for newer versions of bds.

No clue if it's a temporary measure or an external force thing though.
