Hello, there are so few Christmas mods that we won't sulk, thank you ! However, could you propose hidden meshes like for the Christmas Lanterns mod ? That way, you won't have to uninstall the mod once the holidays are over.
I've got a new, SSE tailored xmas decorations mod in the works that uses a few of the assets and some from a couple of other resource packs as well. It's taking some time though and likely won't be out until closer to November if not December.
The pictures look great and definitely festive. I also love the idea that you are planning to add some more holiday mods. That sounds great and very good timing as Christmas will be here before we know it. One question though - do the people of Nirn know Santa Claus? I get the lights, stars, even decorative candy canes - was thrown off by the giant Santa. Won't stop me from enjoying the mod, just curious if it is appropriate in any lore or simply a construct of our world made its way there. Regardless, thank you for the mod.
Good points and no, I do not believe this is a lore friendly mod. I tagged the mod as not being lore friendly so all is laid bare. My plans for Xmas mods will be a little more tempered; I do not think that any "Christmas" mod will be lore friendly but my plans are to be a little less blatant than santas with "SWAG" on their written on their gift bags.
At any rate, this mod is the most robust + permissions friendly combination so I figured I'd start with this one.Additionally, JoelB1961 made the conversion so easy by providing me a converted download so I figured I may as well kick things off easy. Some will not enjoy this mod, some will, but Christmas is supposed to be happy so I'm starting the holiday train early!
Well, actually, could be fairly lore friendly without Santa Claus. The people of Nirn celebrate Saturalia, which is very similar to our Christmas (even held on the same date) with gift giving, parties, parades, etc. (per the UESP wiki), so Christmas mods can be very lore friendly just not sure about including Santa Claus, otherwise great job. Looking forward to your other Christmas mods. Thank you.
Thanks for porting this over to SE! I ran it together with a several other Christmas mods without any problems. It made being away from my family over the holidays more bearable.
For others, I have JK's Skyrim, Dawn of Skyrim, Arthmoor's mods, and Carriage mods loaded with this mod. It worked great.
Questions - can the weapons be improved at the forge? is it safe to uninstall mid-game? I will eventually want the holiday decorations to come down.
