Hi everyone. Having taken stock of everything in my life at the moment, I've decided to go on indefinite hiatus from Skyrim modding. I'm letting you all know so that you will understand that I won't be responding to any comments, bug reports, or messages for the foreseeable future. If you'd like to make a third party patch or translation of one of my mods, you may feel free to do so and release it.
I have appreciated all of the affection many of you have shown towards my work, and hope that many more will in the future.
For some reason Derkeethus is not in his quest alias which results in quest being heavily bugged. Have no clue why tho. It can be fixed with ssq command, so it's not some gamebreaking bug, but it would be cool if i could find the root cause.
If anyone is stuck with buggy quest, check quest aliases via console commands. Might be the same issue.
The plugin has an error in it which I found when trying to run Dyndolod:
If you open it in xedit you'll see that the formid is duplicated many times in the Navigation Mesh Info Map folder:
The "Navigation Mesh Info Map" folder is added by the CK for its own purposes and is not needed to play the game. Whenever I edit plugins in the CK I just remove that whole node. So to fix this you can safely remove the whole "Navigation Mesh Info Map" folder. If someone knows something more than this please PM me since I'll probably not check back here. Thanks!
EDIT: BTW, there's also a duplicate formid in the Dialogue View folder, just delete one of them since they both contain exactly the same data.
A single save of the plugin in the Creation Kit fix all the preceding FormID issues and that's what should do a modder in the first place before releasing his mod to public.
What is the point of this mod when starting Extracting an Argonian leads you going to Darkwater Pass to an empty cell where Derkeethus is supposed to be but isn't?
But the thing is your mod appeared to have removed Derkeethus from the game. Either it's a problem from your side or from the Mod Porter (I'm playing this on the Xbox One) the problem also exists in the Bug Fixes & More mod bundle where this mod is also on.
Just found this and will give it a try - I've rescued Derkeethus many times - but didn't know there was a quest to do so - the top cavern opening is immediately adjacent to a (really nice) player home I use - Dwemer Manor - and so I have always entered from the top simply to clear the cavern, and Derkeethus was just incidental to that.
Hello, I've had a problem installing your mod via Vortex. I made sure to install the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch beforehand. When I went to install the mod, the configure window popped up, and I tried to select the core installation of the mod, but it would not allow me to do that, saying the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch isn't installed, even though it is. I'm sorry if I've missed anything you may have said on this subject, but I would appreciate any help anyone could give.
Edit: Never mind, I just went back to using Nexus Mod Manager. Found the updated version. Vortex was throwing a fit with some things.
