All this mod does is add an extra condition (that's always false) to the quests that spawn the Hearthfire attacks. Which will prevent those quests from starting. It does nothing else. It doesn't add new spawns inside the homes.
Yup. Skyrim being Skyrim. Happens all the time for me, both on PC and console. Some bandit attacks, two will show up in front of the house, and one inside the walls. Happened today before I grabbed this mod.
Glad I found this. Getting sick of my chickens getting killed and getting interrupted trying to do anything at all at my home. Why did the devs think this was a good idea? We spend most of our time fighting. We want peace and calm at home so we can spend time with the fam, plant crops, improve our gear, etc. And we sure don't want to keep paying to replace dead chickens (and the cooldown for the option to buy new ones is absurdly long.)
Whatever happened to the original LE mod that did this?
Nevermind. It was BURIED in a google search....It seems like search engines purposely bury LE mods sometimes. For anyone else who wants the LE version it is here:
After playing fallout 4 for so many years now it seems odd to use the hearthfire system and be restricted to it. I want to have additional beds for followers since I drop off some followers at my hearthfire houses and let them settle down but there are only two regular single beds in each house. One for the housecarl and one for a guest. I use EFF mod to designate the follower npc residence but I have no control over which bed they use.
Seeing the spawning bug at these houses is so weird I could fix that in fallout 4 with an SKK mod for moving spawn points but here in skyrim? nope unless someone moves the spawn points farther away than inside each house. Why did they put the spawn points inside the dam houses? I guess it is better to disable them oh well but it would be better to just move them farther away in the same cell or a nearby cell.
Since I was looking for the answer to this 2.5 years later, someone else might be... From the author om the LE mod page:
This mod does exactly what the description says. That includes preventing the quest that has bandits kidnapping your wife/husband from your Hearthfire house from activating. That also means it does not touch Dawnguard in any way.?
Double check using xEdit if there isn't a mod conflict. Also there are some spawn points near the Hearthfire houses that have nothing to do with the scripted attacks. If the wolves don't jump at you immediately when you exit your house, they're probably regular enemies.
You just add "1.0" which should satisfy everyone. Version numbers are needed to indicate changes, and somewhat mandatory even if the mod needs not to be updated any further.

I'd investigate the other mods you're using.

Thanks for this necessary mod!
Is this mod can be as espl?

Could you please consider adding a version number to the mod?
