Proper uninstallation is a lie, removing a mod without consequence is a lie.
Some mod updates may not require a new save 90% of the rest of they will. 100% of the time is suggested.
Some plugins will save you from a lot of crashes, that is good. Some others will delete some data from your save that is also fine. But disinstalling a mod mid-save with skyrim will ALWAYS means that the save is corrupted.
We Mod Author can only create content by touching as less as original game data as possibile, and in the update process create content and modifying it in the smartest way possible to avoid to remove data.
I just wanted to give my deepest thanks to the person that yesterday has made the first donation to me as a Mod Author. I'm very glad you liked this mod and i'm happy to tell everyone that there are still some fine tuning to do. I'm working on a different project right now but i will come back here.
Thank you for your support, feels really good to be appreciated for what you put your passion in.
1. This is more a personal gripe of mine, after we consume a book, is/can a copy of it be added to our inventory? I've always found it annoying that after reading a tome it's gone, and I have to go find another if I want to display it.
2. Is this mod compatible with Mysticism? From what I understand it only rebalances the tomes' spells and adds some new ones, it should be alright?
Hi, can you tell me if the mod is compatible with other magic mods, like Overlord Magic and such? I'm currently using Immersive Spell Learning, but now i am divided between ISL or Tomes of Power for my next playthrough
Really like this mod, it provides a good alternative to the otherwise optimal path of increasing attack power of weapons through one/two handed enchantment buffs. Otherwise min-max'd magic users suck in comparison lol. That said, it'd be really nice if there was an option for illusion power increases to apply to time instead of level of creatures effected, or maybe a split between the two. It's strange that even after you read every illusion book the duration of those spells doesn't increase.
I was going to use this for enderal but I think these changes just might have made that a no go since there are no skyrim shrines in enderal. or I just don't use the shrine part. hmmm
Okay I'll try to sum up what this mod does from reading & watching the video: (PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG)
-You can only learn up to three spells in a three game-day period (without entering a state of foolishness). -When you activate a spell tome you learn it instantly (like vanilla) but also a reading animation is played, simulating you reading & learning from the tome (unsure of how long the animation takes). -For each spell learned (up to 3), you are given a bonus to magic xp (and optionally a bonus to spell power/duration). These bonuses last up to 3 days and are more powerful if you learned your spells at the college or under Julianos' shrine blessing. -If you try and learn 4 or more spells in that 3 day period, you will learn the spell (like vanilla), but you will enter a state of foolishness, losing the your bonuses to magic xp and spell power/duration.
Almost correct on everything. The animation plays forever unless you unsheath/jump/get up etc. Foolishness doesn't just remove the benefits but also aplies a debuff, reducing magic experience gain I think, wich lasts until removed by praying to julianos. Most of the mods features can be adjusted or turned off in the MCM menu.
I currently love it! It makes you not want to read one after another all the time, though one issue I have found is that you can still spam books as long as you just go to the shrine of Julianos right afterwards. Just asking but is there any plan to can create even worse perks after foolishness to make you not want to do such a thing, though the effect is already bad it just doesn't seem enough to me.
ok this mod honestly just makes sence i allways found it weird the dragonborn was able to learn 500000 spells just by essentualy eating the spell tome that is not how you learn magic! in short i like it!
