If your female character looks weird when wearing the Nord battlemage ( the ulfric style) then you don't have Rustic Textures and didn't read the description and ignored the requirement when downloading. Those meshes are pointing to textures not found in vanilla.
If you've properly installed the mod and still are experiencing where you cannot find the armor in game. There is another dependency for the mod that was not listed that is necessary for the mod to work. The 'Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch' is required for this mod to operate. If you're like me and don't use the 'Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch', you can pretty easily make this mod work using 'SSEEdit'. You can go into ssNordMage.esp>Armor Addon>ssNordMageUlfricBootsAA. Then scroll down to Male world model, in the blank box to the right of MO2S-Alternate Textures (sorted) select Remove. Afterword right click ssNordMage.esp in the far left column and select Clean Masters. Then save. This will remove the dependency for 'Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch'. The boots WILL be a different color than the rest of the armor set though (brown instead of black). If you're more experienced with 'SSEEdit" you can copy UlfricBoots from 'Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch' under Texture Set into ssNordMage.esp, then change the Form ID of the newly copied UlfricBoots (i.e. ##005959), making sure to change the Form ID of ssNordMage.esp>Armor Addon>ssNordMageUlfricBootsAA to that of a higher number than UlfricBoots (i.e. ##005960. 'SSEEdit' will then ask if you want to change the Form ID values of all the other files in ssNordMage.esp to match the newly created Form ID for ssNordMageUlfricBootsAA. Select all the options it provides then say yes. Afterword right click ssNordMage.esp in the far left column and select Clean Masters. Then save. This will remove the dependency on 'Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch' and the armor will display correctly in game (assuming you downloaded Rustic Clothing listed in the dependencies). Please only attempt this if you're versed with file editing and 'SSEEdit' otherwise you may damage files and have to reinstall the mod or the entire game, otherwise it might be simpler to just download the 'Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch', I'm just stubborn and don't want to.

Edit: actually now that I'm trying things out, even without touching the mesh at all my game crashes when equipping...
