Hello. Im not sure whats going on, but for some reason, every improvement perks work as intended, and i was able to improve my equipment quality higher, EXCEPT for Exquisite Improvement, which gives no improvement whatsover. I tried having it at low skill level, high skill level, low weapon skill, high weapon skill, nothing works. Im currently using the SPO - Vokrii patch though so im not sure if it would affect anything, but checking in xEdit i see no conflicts between the two mods regarding the Exquisite Improvement perk.
Edit : I tested with only this mod and without the patch, the problem persisted, however this time multiple improvement perks werent working, not just Exquisite.
I just thoroughly double-check each of the improvement perks at varying Smithing skill levels and everything checked as functioning as intended (I was able to improve my equipment consistent with the chart under Images).
Is it possible you had any debuffs affecting your Smithing (from hunger, fatigue, etc.)? That would impact your ability to improve items.
With Exquisite Improvement, I believe you should be able to improve things to Superior regardless of your Smithing skill. But what is your Smithing skill, if I may ask?
I noticed from my game that weapons from saints and seducers have more bonus when being upgraded? Gold, dark, amber and madness weapons. They have twice the bonus compare to vanilla weapons.
If I use Vokrii Minimalistic Perks of Skyrim, then load SPO after it, will the SPO New Tree take over but the rest of Vokrii works still? I haven't found any patches, but a poster downthread indicated it was possible. Then again, mod notes say all perk overhauls are incompatible.
Is it possible? I really want the SPO New Tree, but I like the rest of Vokrii as well.
I'm running Complete Crafting Overhaul, Smithing Perks Overhaul and Vokrii with the necessary patches. But for some reason despite having 100 smithing skill and all the perks I can't upgrade everything to legendary.
But when I start a new save with the same modlist it works as it should. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this? I'd rather not restart the save I've put a ton of time into, especially not now I've really been filling the Legacy of the Dragonborn museum.
u answrred ur own question, never add mods mid playthrough, bc there is a chance it could break something, i go a step farther and redo DynDOLOD and its texgen as well as xLODgen in case a new mod did something to the terrain
So, I have 50 smithing, and took the "Improvement Perks" for Superior and Exquisite... and I STILL cannot upgrade my gear past "Fine". Is there a reason for this? btw, this is across all gear... So I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.
Edit: This is with using the Adamant Perks Overhaul and your "New Perk Tree" for smithing.
I don't see anything there which would be overwriting this mod or otherwise interacting with it. It shouldn't make a difference, but does the issue persist if you start a new game?
You can keep your existing game! I'm definitely not asking you to throw out your existing playthrough.I was just wondering if you could test on a new game (you can even console commands to set your Smithing level and give yourself the perks).
Ah. lol sorry I misunderstood. I'll do that when I get home from work... and then wake up 8 hours after that... I an overnight shifter... stuck here for another 5 hours -_- so... in 13 hours? XD
I figured it out. It was one of the mods. The Crafting Overhaul. It has an option called "Learning Points" and "required to craft = 100". I have no idea how the Learning Points work so I turned it off. Now I can upgrade stuff. I was racking my brain this whole time... I feel so stupid.
While I'm happy to hear that it's working for you now, I'm also thoroughly perplexed; the Learning Points in CCOR have to do with learning to craft Draugr, Falmer, and Forsworn equipment by deconstructing pieces of those you find, and shouldn't interact with the tempering system in any way.
The important thing is it's working for you though.
