I am an absolute newbie in modding. I really don't know what I am doing but somehow it always worked. But no matter how often I tried to make the Kaidan 2-Mod work, it won't. As soon as I leave the prison the game crashes. It freezes first and then it goes back to my screen. When I try to load a saved game it works but only if Kaidan is not in there. I have to admit I wanted to change his look cause for my flavour he looks a bit too asia to be a redguard. And I wanted him a bit younger. So, I tried to change his look first with one of the dozen Replacers. And then I played a bit with Proteus. I've read that it might be an issue with the dynamic hairstyles so I tried to change it back. But now, everytime I try to load he still has one of those dynamic hairstyles. I can't change him back to your version. Is there anyone who can help me?
I'm not sure if this is happening to anyone else but when I get to the dialogue of Kaidan asking to sleep with the player, whenever my character agrees, the screen turns black for a second and then dies. It keeps happening and I've tried doing it in different areas to see if was that but it's not. Can anyone help?
Anyone know of a way to restart the romantic questline with Kaidan? I'm not getting any romantic dialogue from him at all even though I wore the amulet of Mara and I worry I chose the wrong thing and cut off the romance right off the bat
So I'm playing this mod and I finished Kaidan's questline that eventually reveals his origin, lineage and purpose through a letter left behind by his mother. At the same time, I have this new-ish mod installed that's been in the works called Conquest of Skyrim, where you create your own faction and conquer Skyrim, as the name suggests, through war against the Stormcloaks and the Empire and claiming the Holds and Forts under your banner. Given how Kaidan's mother mentions a new empire in place of the old one somewhere in the future of his son and the Dragonborn as the first of the new Dragonguard, would you consider the idea of starting the discussion with CoS's author to make a compatibility mod between Conquest of Skyrim and Kaidan? I think it would be a very interesting and possibly fitting to see Kaidan, a man who has little to no love for the Empire or the Stormcloaks to begin with, follow the Dragonborn as the leader of a new power in Tamriel that begins its foundation in Skyrim, especially as one who is supposedly supposed to lead a new Dragonguard and its first generation of recruits.
I realize this is an Immersive mod thing, but when I set Kaidan’s follow distance to Far, he gets on his horse and refuses to dismount. When I set it to anything else, he basically rams right up my ass, way too close, sometimes pushing me out of dialogue.
I've been reading y'all posts and I don't think there's anyone else who had encountered the same problem as I do with this mod.
Back then I installed Kaidan 2 mid playthrough and decided to ignore him for a bit before actually tracking his initial quest. And yet somehow...Kaidan appeared just outside of Riverwood near the bridge all naked. I talked to him and the game crashed. Decided that this mod is haunted and uninstalled it. No weird crashes happened after apart from the usual skyrim shenanigans. And I've managed to play for about 200 hours on this save file after this weird happenstance. Probably it has something to do with installing mid save and all that, right? Is what I thought.
Recently I got super curious again about Kaidan so I started a brand new playthrough with live another life mod, created my new character and chose an alternate beginning and all, but when I activate the bed to start the game, it crashed after a few seconds of loading screen. I switched to Alternate Perspective to see if it's any different but it crashed as well. I can confirm that I could start the game if I disabled Kaidan 2.
I haven't tried starting the game with vanilla intro. Maybe it'll work out if I do. But I'm wondering if anyone has the same problem as I with Kaidan...
From what I've seen, he looks like a pretty cool guy. I want him on the party
edit : I'm on Skyrim 1.6.640 with almost 254 plugins currently. But when I first installed Kaidan I think I only had like 50 mods and most of them are mco animations, JK's stuffs, some quest mods like Clockwork, and followers such as Auri Lucien Inigo.
Hi there! First, thank you for making this mod :) I'm still in the beginning of traveling with him but so far the mod has been working fine and I like him :) There is only the matter with his voice record quality. It gets all static sometimes. I can still hear and understand his lines during conversations but it sounds like as if at the time of recording the microphone was having issues. Has anyone else noticed this as well? Great voice acting by the way ^^
At some point Kaidan stops saying the the first few greeting words like "hello there" when I talk to him. Does anybody know how to fix that? Or is it supposed to happen?
Same here. He'd only greet me twice now and then just starts staring at me blankly afterwards. Disabled all follower related mods and reloaded one of my earliest saves only to found out that it still happened after a certain amount of interactions, and it happens earlier and earlier as we progress, as if he's fed up with me. Really awkward. Something's definitely amiss.
update- Started a new game with only Kaidan2. Looks like he's just run out of things to say. It still bothers tho.
I was planning with my glider and Kai teleported to me, resulting in him falling to his death. I was able to recover his things, but after emptying his corpse it clipped through the ground and now I can't use a resurrection spell on him.
