    For anyone using Ultimate College of Winterhold, which I recommend checking out; Use the Not so fast mage guild patch in their plugin, it wasn't made by me, but uses the same method of fixing the classes, they even gave me credit for the method so if you endorsed this patch go ahead and endorse their mod!

    For those asking for an Oldrim version of this patch - I just manually downloaded and installed this into my Oldrim build using MO, works fine. No crash, no nada. Didn't fiddle with CK or anything.

      Simply open the plugin in TES5Edit and copy the records into a new esp, which will ofc have the correct form version for classic skyrim

    Hello!
    I started the College's questline with a hold on Saarthal, and only Arniel Gane and an argonian would go to the Hall of the Elements. They don't give XP, and all the others never go there.
    I finished Saarthal, but still no teachers.
    I don't have any other mod touching NPCs AI. Any ideas?

    so, someone said this technically doesnt need NSF-MG to work, does that mean if you dont use NSFMG but this with ICOW you will have the benefit of NSFMG anyway?

      No, what they mean is likely that this ESP file doesn't require NSF-MG because it doesn't touch it's records. It only changes the conditions ICOW is checking therefore only requires ICOW, but you will not get the benefit of NSF-MG without having it installed.

    I have been trying to edit the plugin in order to make it compatible with oldrim as per the pinned comment but cannot open it. It requires the special edition patch and if I install that into my oldrim tes5edit doesn't load a single plugin, including the special edition ones.
    Can someone just upload an oldrim version and help those who are clueless about this stuff? = P

      aaaand as a result of messing with special edition mods in my oldrim setup my entire mod list has been reinstalled, rendering my entire save game broken. XD

    Have you completed the College questline with the mod already? At what point after starting Sarthal do the teacher's continue teaching, after defeating Ancano?

      After testing a bit myself it seems to work well thank you. Noticed some teachers don't grant exp depending on which spell they are using but that's an issue outside the scope of your mod.

      Yeah that's just immersive college stuff, only the teacher of a specific school gives experience, for instance only faralda can give destruction experience even if Nirya (spelling) does destruction spells.

      I don't touch what NSF-MG does, I only edit immersive college's ai. Technically this mod doesn't require not so fast mage guild.

      Doesn't seem to work with v6, or at least it didn't for me, but won't like break the game as far as i'm aware.

      I compared the v5.3 ICOW with v6 and the packages use a different package template looking into seeing if I can update this patch at least for my own game for the moment.

      -Update- I'm now unsure if its compatible I want to say this mod should work with v6, because the reason my game wasn't working was because I found an interesting bug if you skip talking to mirabelle on the first lessons quest and go straight into the hall and start the lesson with tolfdir the quests continue, but the npcs will never tutor. I think it's because the packages are set to start after completeing the tour but skyrim lets you skip that stage of the quest by just ignoring mirabelle completely. In order to work around that bug I recommend setting the condition to be after completing "First Lessons" or something else.

      -Second Update- I made the changes to have the packages start after completing the quest and everyone seems to be doing their intended schedules and giving tutoring XP as intended and luckily it was even retroactive, so I didn't need to start a new game. @Jonathon594 if you see this post and would like me to send you my version of the plugin to upload or do whatever with feel free to pm me and i'll get it to you.

      @Furongod can you upload your updated file? this fix is essential for frostfall users, I don't feel like freezing to death for a tour of the ice circle they call a courtyard.

      I guess we are not lucky on this one, so "setting the condition to be after completing "First Lessons" or something else" is the easiest solution for now.

    Leaving this here for others who might not know how to update for the latest version of ICoW.

    Thankfully, Jonathon594 has done most of the work, so all we actually need to do is copy over some entries inSSEEdit.

    1. Open up ICOW's plugin, and the plugin for this patch in SSEEdit.

    2. Once everything is loaded, navigate to this patch's esp, and then to Packages.

    3. Expand Packages. There will be a long list of AI packages, and we want to update all of them.

    4. Click on one of these package entries. In the right-hand side, there will be a header labeled Conditions.

    5. Now, in the left side, right-click CollegeOfWinterholdImmersive.esp. Click copy as override to.

    6. Select new ESP. Title it something that makes sense. For the sake of these instructions, we'll call it ICOW-NSF Patch.

    7. Once you type in your preferred name for the plugin, and hit enter, it will create a new plugin.

    8. Now, navigate to the ICOW-NSF Patch, then to Packages, then to Conditions.

    9. Go through each of the package entries, and copy conditions over from this patch's plugin. NOTHING ELSE!
    Tip: You can click and drag the header to copy the condition fields over all at once.

    10. Once you've gone through all of the packages, close SSEEdit, and save when prompted.

    That's it. You now have a separate patch that will have the ICOW AI packages kick in as soon as you join the college, right after Tolfdir's lecture.
