I do agree, this mod seems to be broken. I tried this a few times, and it never worked. Each time I'd delete the mod, but each time it would leave one file in I had to manually take out each time. So Do be aware of this if you do want to try it. Also, note the creator of this mod has a closed account.. so again be warry. The original mod worked wonderfully, and I would have loved to have had this work here too, but.. I'm not risking it any more, nor do I trust this with his account not just inactive, but closed. Anyway, happy gaming all. :-)
This mod broke my game and Vortex! I installed this mod, my game didn't opened, i uninstalled it and... My game didn't opened I deleted all files from this mod manually, dll including and only then my Vortex opened the game normally
Edit: I kinda regret that wrote it . I stopped using Vortex a long time ago and use NMM instead. Although I still track Vortex's evolution it deserves a chance
Another edit: I now understand why MO2>NMM>Vortex for most people, but I still think Vortex got future and viciously shitting on the creation of Nexus knida feels blasphemous to me ngl
It's because MO2 is simply better in almost every way. You can't even mod with vortex it's virtually unusable unless you're only going to use a few mods.
+1 2 cents. Switched to from Vortex to MO2 and never looked back. Takes a bit to learn how to use it, but totally worth it. The final straw was when Vortex started deleting mods after sorting and I had to reinstall them. I tried NMM too, but MO2 is the way to go, imho.
You guys are just biased af, I am also using Vortex and with my current playthrough I installed about 200 mods before even testing, fixed all incompatibilities with wrye bash, vortex etc.. Runs like a champ Vortex is worlds better by now than early days NMM In these days I also used Mod Organizer
^^ Same, I'm running Vortex (with all the tools like dyndolod, xlodgen, sseedit, wyrebash) have 380 mods and 130 plugins without an issue. I like keeping the game vanilla for the most part aside from cutting room floor and couple others but still I don't see why people dislike vortex. I've used MO2 and I appreciate all the things vortex does as far as automation.
I have currently around 800 mods in my load out, with 550 plugins. No problemo, Vortex is just as good a tool as any. It's 100 % a matter of preference.
These people who are saying MO2 is better than Vortex, keep it to yourself. if you think MO2 is better good for you, no need to try and dictate other people's opinions.
I am still using the latest NMM - Loot - (Wrye Bash not anymore) and i also like to sort load order installations manually mostly, checking compatibilities possible conflicts and overwriting and so on. I'll switch to Vortex at some point. Usually a fresh mod manager needs some tweaks and upgrades. As for Mod Organizer. Bah......meh....pffffttt.... Never liked it. It's a preference i guess but it's true that Mod Organizer fanatics will always cry out how ''Mod Organizer's da best waaaahhhh!
Now regarding the mod itself i use some Camera Modifications for Combat so it will be a hassle to figure how to make it work correctly. And before anyone says anything ''No Mod Organizer can't solve that'' Of course Mod Organizer can go the kids to school or make coffee or generate money for you and clean your dishes lol but it can't help with this one...

What is it?
Good old Nexus Mod Manager!
Game and mods stored in your computer as compressed archives without relying on virtual folders. Or the web for that matter because:
Maximum Speed! Maximum Freedom! Maximum Ownership!
Use your mod manager for installation and activation use steam in offline mode close all background tasks and run game via skse as admin. Less CPU usage or interferences causing lag input.
I know this is pretty old now, but why did you switch to NMM when MO2 already was by far the best tool, even back in 2020? Nowadays I laugh at vortex, god I hate it. "Worked" for a playthrough of mine a few years ago until suddenly it broke big time. Heard of all these MO2 "fanboys" and just thought wtf is wrong with them it's just a mod loader... yup, damn was I wrong. Switched to MO2 and am never looking back, currently over 500 mods loaded and it's stable and can't even break really with the way MO2 doesn't f*** with files. Vortex really is absolute garbage...
After going from mod to mod & posts to posts, these are the complaints that I see that carry no evidence. NMM, MO2 & Vortex all have their perks & it's only as good as the person using it. This leans more with NMM or MO2 I assume because everything you do on it you must have knowledge about or you will come across problems, & me a satisfied Vortex user that has automatic solutions, learned how to use Vortex over time and still is learning a few things every now & then.
Seeing people complain triggers me, as a example I have two thousand + mods for skyrim se alone, it fluctuates every now & then but my game runs perfect for my taste I have also met a NMM or MO2 user that has a ton as mods as well. So it goes both ways, & there will always be a person who will say "DELETED" or "this mod made my game crash ( Which quarter of the time it's true or it's thoroughly said ) " out of anger or just have no knowledge on how to fix it so the only way is to complain & create doubt for everyone that see's or uses the mod, which is childish.
I have about 8 to 9 TOOLS I use every now & then, 4 of them majority of the time before I launch my game. So unless it's a virus it doesn't really matter. If it's new, there will always be a few problems 80% of the time because it's mods created by people & it's not seamlessly solidified into the game. To throw this out there, I have autosave 100% disabled because in my opinion it corrupts games, majority of my mods are 4k, I have 13 thousand animations ( switched from FNIS to Nemesis, which took a bit to get working but was 100% worth it ), I have a ENB called Rudy ENB for Cathedral weathers which also took me a while to get working but was also worth it. I Did become frustrated & complain but it was only to myself not to the wonderful people who literally creates mods for free for us users to use.
To add on top of all this I am using a gaming laptop, not a super rigged custom PC that I wanted to build for myself. I actually recently found a way to make my game still load even if it's been corrupted, of course it goes to the part where it last became corrupted but it saved & I reloaded it with no problems. And as of now I am trying to get PoeticAnt44 Courageous Women NPC overhaul to apply correctly to the NPCs for a while now but I haven't found a solution, but I always will eventually.
"Vortex takes care of installing mods through hardlinks (a "dirty" way of virtualizing folders), while MO2 virtualizes folders in a better way than Vortex by basically leaving your data folder alone and installing mods in MO2 folder, which is a much cleaner way than Vortex. MO2 allows you to overwrite other mods virtually, so all of your mods remain fully intact and can be easily tweaked later on. When you delete a mod, MO2 will erase all of the files created by the mod. However, for Vortex, it sometimes misses third-party assets that don't strictly follow the vanilla game directory structure." for that reason alone, i moved from vortex to MO2. Many times i installed a mod, overwrite it with another mod. The i uninstall the new mod and the old mod that got overwritten sometimes has missing files or the mod that i already removed still has some leftover file for some reason.
It doesn't work for me. Can someone explain why? I downgraded my Skyrim Special Edition already. I use MO2. I downloaded, installed and activated the mod yet it doesn't seem to work in-game...I did use Alternate Conversation Camera before this but I disabled that one already and it still gave me the same results.
I'll be devil's advocate here, but how is zooming into people's faces more immersive? Our view doesn't zoom in to people we're talking to in real life. The dialogue zoom-in was the part I disliked the most about Oblivion and Fallout 3, it's so jarring to me.
I guess the thought is when you talk to someone you usually look at them and focus on them. But of course you don't actually zoom in on them, and in reality you can of course have a conversation without looking at the person your talking to.
Honestly I never felt connected to any of the characters or the storytelling in Skyrim until I started using this mod. It felt so much more personal to see the character's faces more clearly and see expressions and emotions as they were talking. I can't do without this mod personally. Although I will say that I dislike the third person camera zoom, as it just doesn't work very well. It would be ideal if, like in older Beth titles, the camera would just switch from third person to first person when entering a conversation, although I'm not sure how difficult that would be to accomplish.
You know we have all once ran into that awkward moment of some NPC starting a conversation OUTSIDE your screen, you don't even know who you're talking to.
I really like this mod, but i have to ask, is there a way to change or an option to not flicker to my character's face while in 3d person? i just wanted to see the npcs face not mine it makes me dizzy all that flickering.
Alternate Conversation Camera uses the same images and does the same thing as this mod. diffrence is it was uploaded year later and this mods author's account is deleted.
