Yeah, new update did diddly squat for me. I had over fifteen THOUSAND files, which equated to 23GB! Thanks to this, I saved quite a bit of space for my hard drive.
As the deleted account before me said, I also had lots of orphaned .SKSE files that were not being removed. And it was bound to get bigger, so whatever this "update" was supposed to do, it was not working.
I like that this is just a simple command line file that can be run when needed. Nothing to install nor add to the game.
3200+ files, 2.25 GB removed. And one massive headache averted. I was just curious to see how many saves I had in the folder, only then noticing all these massive SKSE files. Thank you, sir; you've saved me a tedious manual garbage collection run.
GameSave Manager was having an issue with scanning Skyrim SE saves, it took a LONG time and it stopped responding while doing it.
I finally figured out that the problem was my about 7500 (!!!) .skse files causing GameSave Manager to choke. I started looking for any info about how to deal with the problem, and I'm very happy to have found this script!
It worked perfectly, and GameSave Manager no longer has any scanning problems!
