Really wonderful attitude and a nudge for others to try out that attitude themselves. Wish there were more like you, we need you! Also, a great mod. I always add it to my list.
Very cute mod. Shame there isnt much more besides the building, I LOVE the look of everything though, including the master bedroom stuff ;) Wish there could be like bandit attacks and stuff to defend against. Thumbs Up
If so then the mod is conflicting with the grass from your current mods/game/game files. I was told a solution to the problem through a Skyrim mod collection discord and I am going to share the steps that I took (which worked for me).
I do not guarantee that this will work for you, nor that it will not break anything. It worked for me and broke nothing on a previous save, and I assume that it should work for everyone else. Do this at the risk of your own game save either way...
Steps: 1. Close Vortex and game (if open).
1. Delete "Grass" folder, which is in the "Data" folder, which is in the directory "Skyrim Special Edition" folder.
If you have trouble finding this, you can open Vortex, go to the mods list, click "open" on the top bar, and then click "Open Game Folder" (it will open the directory).
2. Create a text file named "precachegrass.txt" and place it inside the directory "Skyrim Special Edition" folder.
3. Run the game using a skse_loader shortcut (do not run through vortex), the game will likely crash multiple times during the process.
Keep launching and letting it load over and over until it tells you that it is done (there is a popup that will say it is done).
Once it is done the game should close (when you acknowledge the popup window by clicking "ok").
To make a shortcut to load the game you can find the original skse64_loader.exe file in the directory, and you can put the shortcut anywhere (the best location is likely your desktop).
4. Open Vortex and redeploy the mod list. Then the game should be able to run.
You will notice a change window pop up in Vortex. It should prompt you to delete the old grass cache files and replace them with the new ones. Accept this change (this is the change you just made).
nothing happens when i do this, i follow the instructions exactly, and even launched and quit 6 times in a row, my save all so launches just fine but without grass obviously any idea why? im at a loss
UPDATE it worked like a charm my bad, i just didnt get a message from skse but it worked thx mate!
Hello, sorry for asking, but where do I find the location or where do I start to build it? I just installed it and did not say where I can start building
Also trying to figure this out, it's frustrating because I would love to use this mod. I've had it downloaded for a few days now and still can't figure anything out about it.
The location is west of lake illinalta. Basically from the standing stones go west to the lady stone, west again to hunter's rest, and then north north west along the left of the mountains. The unbuilt location looks like a wood shed and a tent.
Great mod Locaster. I applaud every painstaking minute it must have taken you to craft this. It has run perfectly smoothly except for one issue, and one curiosity. The issue i have is with the alchemist. For some reason she got assigned a blacksmiths inventory. Not really all that bothersome, but thought you should know. Might just be a weird coincidence bug on my end. Also you mentioned field guards in list of buildings on the main page. That is my curiosity issue. I have built everything at the workbench, but there was no field guards. Is there some place else you have to go to build that?
I'm trying out your citadel mod next. Thanks again!
