      Hey!
I made a patch that fixes this issue: Harvestable Elves Ear and Frost Mirriam SSE - Hearthfire Patch

      Thanks, fiskin1!

Windstad manor is easily fixed, just forward hearthfire and ussep records in xedit. Really, one should check this kind of thing when installing a mod, not whine on the author's page because you didn't patch your load order. It's also very easy to compress this mod in xedit.

I had a go at a very primitive Seasons patch for this, in case anyone is interested. Its not quite a proper Seasonal Alchemy patch, since all it does is simply remove the plants during Spring and Winter. A better solution would obviously be to include a version with unharvestable meshes for spring, and snowy unharvestable meshes for winter (at least for elves' ears). But that sort of Nifskope wizardry is entirely outside my skill range.

    Some things to note:

    • This patch is untested (I'm rebuilding my LO...). Caveat emptor! If anyone finds issues, or verifies it as working, do let me know.
    • The patch requires Seasonal Alchemy.
    • Download managers may think it isn't a proper mod. This is because the mod only contains two ini files for Base Object Swapper. But that is genuinely all that is required.
    • The ini files also contain swaps for Tundra Berries?, because this is another mod I wanted a seasons patch for, and I'm too lazy to do separate patches. This shouldn't be an issue for those not using that mod - Seasons simply skips inapplicable swaps - but if it bothers anyone, the relevant lines can easily be deleted in the inis.
fiskin1: On the odd chance that you find this useful, feel free to share, modify or anything else.

Just want to add that the patch in this comment eventually developed its own Nexus mod page (here)

It might be.  Haven't had a chance to test it.  If you wanna give it a try and report back here,  I can update the main page

Hey, I assume this was an issue with the original mod, so it'll be out of your scope to fix, but I wanted to report it just in case. Whenever you harvest a plant of Elves Ear, the stems of the small leaves down near the bottom get cut off/disappear. I can post screenshots if necessary.
It's a very minor thing, but I have no idea if it's a bug or if it's simply a fault in how the meshes were made, sorry to be a bother about it.

No its all good. It does the same thing to me in my game. It was the way the original meshes were made and are a byproduct of that. Thanks for mentioning it in case anyone else was curious about it happening. Otherwise the mod works fine for you?

this mod is great! is there any way to make the detection box larger? you have to point exactly in the center of the plant for the harvest option to pop up, it's easy to miss (or is it just me?)

I dont think so. Jokerine took the meshes from another author’s assets. If you aim your reticle more toward the base on the bottom of the plant, it will show up much more easily for you. I had to play with it a little bit myself but once you find the sweet spot, you will know where to go every time. Hope this helps

Great! Always ask me why those plants did not grow in the wild. As an alchemist, I thank you.

Your welcome. I wondered the same thing from the beginning. Glad Jokerine had the vision to add what Bethesda did not. Enjoy
