Fixes

This adds Survival mode effects to all the food in requiem, while otherwise keeping all their stats like in Requiem.

The diseases are made harsher by both survival mode and Requiem, this patch keeps them like in Requiem.

It also removes the lowered carry weight from Survival Mode as the carry weight is already lowered by Requiem.

Balance Changes

Small and very small foods now restore more hunger:
  • Very small changed from 2 to 30
  • Small changed from 18 to 80
  • Medium, kept at 220
  • Large, kept at 380

It also takes a little longer before you move from the Satisfied stage to the Peckish stage.

To balance the Survival mode a bit with Requiem's already quite harsh world were stamina and magicka generation is already lowered, the buffs and debuffs have been modified as follows:

Inspiration to these changes were taken from Conner's Survival mode, so shout out to Linnsanity for a great rebalance mod of survival mode.

Racial bonuses

These have been modified to fit Requiem racial bonuses better. Mostly to give Bosmer & Orsimer the ability to eat raw meat as they have the Strong Stomach buff in Requiem.

Vanilla:
  • Altmer - Resist Fatigue 25%
  • Argonian - Weakness to Cold 25%. May consume raw meat without food poisoning.
  • Bosmer - Resist Fatigue 25%
  • Breton - None
  • Dunmer - Resist Fatigue 25%
  • Imperial - None
  • Khajiit - +15 Warmth. May consume raw meat without food poisoning.
  • Nord - +25 Warmth
  • Orsimer - Resist Fatigue and Hunger by 15%. +10 Warmth.
  • Redguard - None

  • Redguard - None

Not sure about the +15 warmth for Khajiit really, on one hand they do have fur so it makes sense, but on the other hand they all complain about how cold Skyrim is.

Armor warmth values

Survival mode by default basically makes all the best armors stat-wise also into warm armors, disregarding if they are actually warm or not.

This patch instead uses the values from Frostfall for armor warmth. I think this fits Requiem's Roleplaying theme much better, and also means there's more pros/cons to armor types instead of just being good or bad overall.

Although, Frostfall has 5 (Poor, Fair, Good, Excellent & Max) levels of warmth, but Survival mode only has 3 (Cold, Normal, Warm). So Frostfall values are translated as following:

  • Poor -> Cold
  • Fair -> Normal
  • Good -> Normal
  • Good AND Coverage Max -> Warm
  • Excellent-> Warm
  • Max-> Warm

This means that the following armors are cold:
  • Hide (Chest, Helm, Gloves)
  • Fur armor, sleeveless variant (Chest)
  • Studded (Chest)
  • Iron (Chest, Helm, Gloves, Boots)
  • Forsworn (Chest, Gloves, Boots)
  • Leather (Gloves)
  • Elven (Gloves)
  • Falmer Heavy (Gloves, Boots)
  • Falmer Light (Gloves)
  • Ancient Nord (Gloves)
  • Chitin Heavy (Gloves)
  • Chitin Light (Gloves)
  • Morag Tong (Gloves)
  • All dragon priest masks

The following are warm:
  • Orcish (Chest, Helm, Gloves, Boots)
  • Fur armor (Chest, Gloves, Boots)
  • Wolf armor (Chest, Helm, Gloves, Boots)
  • Stormcloak Officer (Helm)
  • Stalhrim Heavy (Chest, Helm, Gloves, Boots)
  • Stalhrim Light (Chest, Helm, Gloves, Boots)
  • Nordic (Chest, Helm, Gloves, Boots)
  • Dragon Plate (Chest)
  • Dragon Scale (Chest)
  • Nightingale (Helm)
  • Skaal (Chest, Helm, Gloves, Boots)
  • Deathbrand (Chest, Helm, Gloves, Boots)

The rest are normal.

Various clothes also have warmth values set of course.

Reqtificator instructions

Getting Requiem to run on Skyrim Special Edition is needed for this patch, but is out of scope for this README, see other sources on the net for instructions on that. In Reqtificator you need to add creation club content to the Blocklist.txt and only add required mods as masters. This mod consists of two files, one that should be added to the Blocklist.txt and one that should not. The armor and indigestibles fixes should not be in the Blocklist.txt, otherwise Requiem for the indifferent will overwrite parts of it.

So blocklist.txt should contain at least this:

ccqdrsse001-survivalmode
unofficial skyrim survival patch
Requiem - Survival Mode.esp

Compatibility

Use the SkyUI - Survival Mode Integration mod for Survival mode and SkyUI compatibility.

If you are using Minor Arcana you need to disable/delete the interface addon it contains as that is not compatible with Survival Mode.

Load this patch after Fozars Dragonborn patch or Crafting overhaul reqtified to get food changes working properly.
