    Doesn't work. It's draining my staff enchantment instead of charging. 

    The mod is awesome, so please can you fix this?

    The spells fill gems, but for some reason my weapons get drained instead of charged. I thought I saw something discussed about that issue earlier, but I can't find it now?

      I found that if I re-equip the drained item after a charge failure then it will work.
      Sometimes have to try several strengths of spells to find the right strength tho.
      Kinda finicky, but then, perhaps such magic should be. ;)

      I'm having this issue as well. Re-equipping doesn't work. I have the alteration version. Using petty/lesser/common spells on my weapon with spell in other hand drains the charge. same issue using spells while bow is equipped by using Smart Cast rings. Filling soul gems works for me tho, but I've only filled a petty one so far.

      Edit: I think only the petty spell works. Lesser and common don't do anything.
      Edit2: Turns out you need a higher enchanting skill to fill higher level gems. Found this out from MCM menu. Don't know if I'm blind or not as I couldn't find this detail in the mod description ><

      Same issue. I can fill petty and lesser soul gems (haven't tried higher-grade ones yet), but casting the spell with an enchanted weapon in my other hand just drains the weapon's charge to 0.

    Thanks for the awesome mod ! I'm enjoying it a lot but i'm having one problem going into late game:

    For some reason the spell for filling grand soul gems doesn't work. It casts all right and drains mana but doesn't fill any gem.
    I'm playing on 1.6.640 and ive tested with and without ASGM, and also on a fresh save with only this mod. It's the same

      Check the fill level requirement in the MCM. That's the level your character has to be to fill the gem. You can change it if you wish.

      No problem, and fyi the restrict is for your enchanting skill level, not overall character level.

    Crashing soul gems for magicka replenishment would be epic !

    probably a long shot that I get help on this but the spell doesn't charge my weapons. doesn't matter if I'm using a specific hand with the spell(s), nor with smart cast.

    edit: found that it doesn't seem to fill any gems, not even azura's star. unsure what is going on which is a shame since I adored this mod when it used to work for me.

      Are you playing on AE? This mod is SKSE dependent, and last updated in 2018, so I worry that those of us on post-1.5.97 are going to have trouble getting it to work.

      I have it successfully filling normal soul gems (but not black soul gems) on the latest GOG version of Skyrim, with the appropriate version of SKSE64 and Mod Organizer 2 (with MO2's AE compatibility patch from the optional files in the nexus page). I'm no expert, so I have no idea why it's working for me and not for others, but I thought I should mention it.

    Lesser and petty soul gems could be charged but common soul gems won't charge at all. Did not test other soul gem types.
    I got the alteration version of the spells. Any idea whats wrong?

    Edit - Never mind it start to work, have no idea how. Maybe something to do with perks?
    Btw very useful mod to have.

    Awesome mod, but could we maybe get a popup when we cast a spell but don't have enough Enchanting skill to fill a soul gem?  It took me way too long to figure out why things weren't working.

    I'd like a non-Farengar version. It makes sense, that the master wizards in their respective spell schools know these spells, but Farengar... I understand the spells are added to him to offer a quick way to acquire these spells, but I'd prefer immersion.
    Unfortunately I can't figure out how to remove the spells from Farengar myself.

    This mod is almost exactly one that I wanted to make, down to the recharge penalties! Great minds think alike, eh?

    A question, a suggestion, and a question...

    How do I fill bows or 2-Handers without first filling a soul gem, is it even possible?

    Would it be possible to (and would you be willing to) make an MCM option to disable filling soul gems?

      I'd also like to know if bow and two-handed weapon charging is possible.

      If not, perhaps one way it could be made to work is if the spells were adapted into powers, like the "Slow and Freeze Time Spells 2018" mod by TwinCrow offers ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/779 ). This way the spell wouldn't be associated with either hand.

      I really appreciate having this mod available as a reasonable alternative to soul trapping - many thanks to dylbill for making it!

      Update: I tried this approach out myself by changing the existing WeaponChargeX spells in the Creation Kit, to have power type as "Lesser Power" and equip type as "Voice". Now the charging spells successfully recharge my equipped enchanted bows, as well as still charging soul gems and other one handed weapons! However, the Magicka drains (and probably the penalties too) are no longer working, so i broke immersion with the change :(

      @dylbill, would you consider adding a change to the next update of your mod to make the spells into Lesser Powers (voice equipped)? It would be much appreciated by users of enchanted two-handed weapons and enchanted bows!

      Yeah that’s the problem with changing them to lessor piwers. If you want to charge two handed weapons I highly recommend the mod smart cast, which allows you to cast spells without your hands. Its what I use.

      For two handed weapons I highly recommend smart cast, which is what I use. If you don’t want to fill soul gems, make the level restriction for each spell 100 in the MCM. This way, no soul gens will be filled until your enchanting level reaches 100.

      Update 2: from link below, found out the "port" I linked to above apparently wasn't authorized :( ... but the same link also suggests how to do the conversion oneself. May give that a try.

      Yeah converting it yourself is easy. You just have to open the esp in the special edition creation kit and save it.
