Am I missing something or are you not erasing the normal map...? It's not shiny because there's nothing there...?
It's essentially an empty dds loaded into the normal map slot? If I'm completely wrong I'm sorry I'm just really confused lol. I'm having issues with shiny-ness in normal maps I'm trying to create.
Why couldn't you just copy paste your tutorial into the Description, and uploaded the video version?
What it does, for those wondering and haven't downloaded is show you how to make a normal map based off the diffuse by adjusting color sliders, and then he removes everything from the alpha channel by erasing it.
Hello there sorry for the very late reply im sorry but i dont know anything about that im still learning myself but if i do learn something new i will soon post it on here :)
Thank you for posting this. It seems strange that the opacity of the normal map has an impact on how shiny the object is. Usually that's handled by a roughness/gloss map - but I've looked through most of textures.bsa and it seems to be the case. I've read that normal map rendering is handled differently between dx9 and dx11. Do you know anything about that?

Again. Thanks!
