Hi there. This tool was released on the Skyrim LE and Fallout 4 page. Since v1.4 supported SSE's BSA file, I decided to publish it on the SSE page as well.
Any questions or requests are welcome. ENJOY!

Hello! I have run into a weird problem.
When converting fuz/xvm files to wav some of the files have no audio.
What is something I could do to fix this?

My xwm files are about 30% quieter than the original ones...Maybe someone has a tip?

A bit late to reply but if you or anyone else still needs help with this, you can edit it in Audacity then under Effect -> Volume and Compression -> Amplify. Usually just hit OK from there and it'll just amplify it to just before it starts to clip, which is usually ideal, but you can adjust it if you need to.

I can't seem to get this working in Windows 11.

I've got all the prerequisites, I've got ffmeg in my Yakitori folder, but it doesn't seem able to see or load any wav/mp3 files.

I've had this software working in the past, but right now I'm stumped. Any ideas anyone?

If having a fresh install and attempting to work on Skyrim SE/AE you will likely encounter the error regarding xWMAEncode.exe. This will first appear as the MSVCR100.dll error.

This error comes as a result of the xwmaencode.exe having different versions. Do not download this executable from the only other place on the internet to find it (pconlife.com). Instead, move the viable version from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Tools\Audio into the file path for any mod using this executable.

The only other way to have access to this is via NDA as a game developer with Microsoft.
The easiest way to find this executable is to open File Explorer and open C: under "This PC" and search xWMAEncode.exe. You will want to replace the Mod versions with the steam version.

If you are still having issues you are likely missing mod dependencies like the older versions of the C++ Redistributable or a not up to date .NET framework.

    Hope that helps.

For anyone getting the MSVCR100.dll error, you have to install the Visual C++ 2010 redistributable.

The link in this mod's description is dead. You can get it straight from Microsoft's website here:

Thank you! I could only find the dead page when looking, so this was a huge help. This needs to be pinned

What a godsend btw. Worst thing about this is that I can't believe I just found about this tool - and not earlier...

Hi people, I am still learning and now I want to make my first translation including translated voice files. The original mod has .xwm and .lip files. To translate the audio files, I converted the .xwm files into .wav files, listened to them, made new, German .wav files. Now my question is: How do I make new .lip files, because the lip sync of the original mod won't fit the German lines. Can I do this with this tool or do I have to open the .wav files in CK to get the .lip files? And after that, I guess I have to reconvert the .wav files into .xwm files?
Your help is very appreciated! 😊

I really like this tool. Even a noob like me found it easy to use. But still I don't have a "deeper" understanding  of those voice file things... But I won't give up. 😅
Thank you very, very much. I really love it. ❤️

super easy to use , just drop the folder inside and start converting all those xwm files to wave and hear those skyrim music packs without needing to run in skyrim and testing them for hours
