Sorry for answering this so late! 'xx' is the "Mod Index" of your mod in the load order. For example, Skyrim.esm has 00, as it is the very first plugin, which is why you never need to write the zeroes at the start whenever you spawn in an item from vanilla Skyrim. When you want to spawn in an item from for example hearthfire and if it's the second plugin in your list, you HAVE TO write '01' before the rest of the numbers.
Could I please get an idiot-friendly explanation for how to spawn the item? When I open the command line and type "player. additem xx000806" it returns an error.
You're not supposed to type XX, you're supposed to fill in the XX with whatever number the mod is in your mod load order. For example, if your mod is loaded into slot 32, you'd replace XX with 32 so it would look like player.additem 32000806
You can check what the item's load order is through the plugins tab of Nexus Mod Manager. Vortex has literally never worked for me, so I don't know how to check with Vortex.
