Great lore-friendly mod, but an esp for Vignar isn't really worth it...

I like how in the before and after pictures he's like "yep. This is what they did" and then "hehehehe yeah he fixed me"

FYI if you already have an NPC replacer such as Kireina you can just swap in the meshes and textures from this mod to replace Vignar. No need for the ESP, so it saves a plugin slot if you do that.

I was pleased to see that you converted my little mod. Good to know that Consistent Vignar lives on. :)

Ladies and gentlement, the original mod author! *applause*

Thank you for the original, and the permission to convert it! It's one of those minor little fixes that make a big difference!

People have been talking about this for some time. Some say his skin is just very weathered by age, but personally I would just suggest one of his parents or an ancestor was probably a Reguard. He is also not the only character who is not a Redguard with darker skin in the game, you will see others from time to time as well. The Dawnstar blacksmith, Rustleif is married to a Redguard, Seren and they are expecting a child so it is clear that Nord/Redguard relationships do exist in the game, so I would actually suggest that Vignar's skin colour is probably 100% deliberate. There are also a couple of Imperials, Xander and Safia with dark skin, and a Breton, Sabine Nytte. They live on the Red Wave, so again it might be down to weathered skin but it could also be mixed heritage. Anotehr Imperial with darker skin is of course Adrianne Avenicci in Whiterun. You can also give your character darker skin as a Nord if you wish.

So my take on this is that perhaps you are actually taking away an interesting aspect of the character that is there by design. If part of his heritage is Redguard it also makes his comments about his Nord family line being traceable back to Ysgramor's companions a lot more interesting.

This mod is so great!!! Thanks so much for the port and i just want to say this, I AM NOT A RACIST!!!!

But i just cant stand Vignar being black since he IS A MOTHERFUCKING NORD!!! I MEAN WHAT THE HELL IS HE BLACK FOR??!?!?!?! OMG?!?!?!

Nords are based on Scandinavians / Vikings and Germanics and all of them are and were white skin color so i mean it doesnt make any sense at all whatsoever that he is black in the game. Not only that he is also the head of house Grey-Mane wich is absurd especially if he is black, if he is a Nord then he is supposed to f***ing look like one aswell lol. Nords are not black!!! WTF Bethesda?!?!

Nords being black is just a hilarious concept imo, what the f*** were Bethesda thinking with giving him a black skin tone haha?

The first time i saw him i thought he was a Redguard and i was stunned when i found out he was actually a Nord, i was like....DUDE......ARE YOU FOR f***ing REAL?!?! WHAT THE f*** WHY IS HE BLACK IF HE IS A NORD?!?! Doesnt make any sense at all.

Once again....IM NOT A RACIST.....Im just thinking that its pretty damn weird and hilarious how he is a Nord but of black skin color, its literally non-existent unless he had mixed parents where one was a Redguard and the other a Nord wich i highly doubt considering the history of the noble house.

anyway, thanks so much for this mod!!! Now i can finally stand looking at Vignar without starting to laugh my ass of. Also he looks so much f***ing better in white skin color than in black haha. He looks like he is supposed to, was Bethesda just having fun mixing around with different characters and making him black for the laugh of it and then forgetting to change him back to white when the game was releasing? Because it kinda feels like he is black unintentionally. I mean if i was a developer or something at Bethesda i would never in my right mind make a black Nord NPC , every other Nord in the game are white skin tone. Vignar is the only black one ive seen haha.
