Q: The courier came to me but I didn't get a letter. There is an issue with siege letters already appearing as read, as far as I know there is nothing I can do about this. If you already have some letters, read through them or remove them until you find one you can't remove and that's the letter.
Q: I'm sided with Skyrim and I can't win the defense of Riften or the defense of Markarth. The defense of Riften and first defense of Markarth are meant to be lost on the Skyrim side. This way the Dominion can control some territory and you can have a proper war. If you haven't lost after about 10 minutes, it will automatically end.
Q: I can't find the carriage in 'The Finale' quest Due to a mistake with dialogue, the carriage is actually at Falkreath, not Riften.
PSA: the swimming in midair bug appears to be related to framerate capping. I had Skyrim's own VSync/FPS limiter turned off in favour of ENB's, and as soon as I limited my FPS to 60 via Havok Fixes the swimming went away. I have no idea how this works in the back end, as my framerate was already limited to 60 and the issue was only happening during SGW battles, but whatever - if you've got this issue, cap your framerate to 60 using any method other than ENB.
I know this is a hardass question, but do you have any tips on integrating this into Lorerim? I don't think I can live without this mod but am scared to mess things up
Sorry, I don't know enough about LoreRim to answer this, so I don't know for sure what issues you might have. Maybe someone else who uses it will know and can reply though.
Hey, i have tried integrating it into Lorerim and it seems that it breaks everything relating to world map. Lorerim uses Flat World Map Framework with Skyrim Paper Map. Any ideas about why it's the map specifically that is breaking ? Anyway i hope the creators of Lorerim or Nolvus will add your mod in their lists, it seems really cool !
Okay i seem to have found the solution (at least for now) for the map bug. You just need to put Flat World Map Framework and Skyrim Paper Map at the very last place of your load order. I have not begun the civil war or the mod questline in my playthrough but i will post something here if i discover a bug.
Loving the mod so far, the difficulty is definitely a bit steep, but I'm figuring it out. Is there a point in the sieges where it feels a bit less lopsided against the Dominion? I lost the Battle of Riften and am preparing to lose the Battle of Markarth, and it feels like regardless of how many Dominion troops we beat, that their counter never moves down from 100% strength.
Hey I use the Gate To Savengarde mod list for my playthroughs. Most people on the discord are saying it will mess up the mod list. Has anyone had experience adding this to GTS? Really love the idea of fighting the Dominion!
I just loaded Gate to Sovengarde also and miss this mod. Thanks mucho for this great mod and keeping up responses to questions. no luck searching online for compatibility answer and I don't have a discord acct. Hopefully someone w skills and a desire to kill Thalmor will make a patch
I know you probably won't work on this mod anymore, but what would be absolutely amazing is if there was a way to start this without the civil war. And what I mean is if you do the cannon peace treaty way in your playthrough, both sides united fight against the thalmor. So after Ulfric and Tulliis agree to postpone war until dragonborn finishes his business, when alduin is defeated the dominion should invade (on accept quest ofc) and both Tulliis and Ulfric can unite against them
Hello! Out of curiosity, what's your policy on other people making derivative mods?
This is the gold standard mod for people who want to do a Thalmor playthrough, but a lot of people (including me) like to start with smaller quests like "Thalmor Dialogue and Quests", "Missing in Action as a Thalmor", or even just the Thalmor beginning in Live Another Life. Then, after building up to the Second Great War, you can watch the Dominion reap the rewards of all your hard work.
Unfortunately if you choose to play it that way, it's a little jarring for Aldarilar to greet you with hostility and suspicion for your first several missions. I'd be interested in creating a tweak/patch for that quest that preserves the basic storyline, but allows you to be a member of the Thalmor from the *very* beginning--identifying yourself as an agent as soon as you enter the fort. I'd like to get your permission, though, because a project like that would obviously be a modification of your work.
If you're not willing to allow that, no worries; I thought it couldn't hurt to ask. Either way, this is an all-around excellent mod, and I've thoroughly enjoyed every time I've played it! Thank you!
i really like the idea behind this mod and would love to try it, i just wanna know if it is compatible with become the high king of skyrim (the newest one) and i read below that you still want to update it once more, i would love to know more about it if you're willing to share at least an approximate release date and should i wait for it rather than download the current version (i still haven't touched the civil war yet and don't plan on playing it soon i'm doing most other quests first) and thanks
I'm not sure about compatibility with High King of Skyrim, I don't know enough about what that mod does. I really can't guarantee for sure when the patch update will come out, but I would like to say it will come out at some point this summer.
Still thinking about downloading this mod, as I already have a crap ton of mods, and I am lazy and stupid.. Don't wanna mess things up, however what really caught my attention is, the very kind mod author, I think he responds to almost every comment and provides support, just wanted to appreciate that.
I still try to respond, when I have time. If I ever get the final patch I want put out, I'm hoping it will be at least a little less buggy and maybe a bit more optimized which would help with some issues people have.
Hi! Sometimes when my game crashes, I see this mod's name coming up in the crash log, or sometimes in the "most prominent mods" list in Phostwood. But I haven't even started this mod. In fact, I haven't even started the civil war. Do you know what might be the cause?
Here's one of my latest crash logs, if you want to take a look.
Not sure, honestly don't remember working with crash logs, or haven't in a very long time at least, so I'm not sure exactly what might be going on. Are the crashes that include this mod in the logs only happening in a certain place or places?
No, they happen anywhere in the open world. It might not be related to this mod at all since my mod list is fairly big, but I was just curious why it might be popping up from time to time. The mod shouldn't be doing anything until I have beaten the civil war, right?
No, not supposed to be doing anything anyway. A couple places here or there are technically modified, for instance the area up near Snowpoint Beacon is modified, but things like that shouldn't be an issue.

If you don't know what to do next, make sure you don't have any objectives. If you have no objectives, wait for a letter.
If you're using the Anniversary Edition, click here for a patch for Bloodchill Manor.

Sure! You can do that if you want to.
Thank you so much for letting me create this patch, and for building the quest in the first place!
