About this mod

This mod adds a full set of Khajiit themed armour and weapons, all made from scratch by me, inspired by the Khajiit armour featured in ESO. All screenshots are the 2k version.
This mod features both heavy armour and light armour variants, as well as CBBE & HIMBO support.

OVERVIEW

Welcome to my very first actual mod for Skyrim! I always felt that The Elder Scrolls games were missing some armour for the beast races, and ever since ESO was released, I was itching to create my take on what I thought Khajiit warriors would wear in a place like Skyrim.

Armour and weapons are all purchasable from the Khajiit caravans. So is the book; Art of Khajiit Armour, which you have as a soft requirement to craft the armour.

I have added 3 new patches curated for 3 different types of load orders that all edit the same inventory chests for the Khajiit Caravans. Flagged as ESL. Can be found in miscellaneous files. Only use one that best reflects your load order.

In version 2.0+ I have incorperated all of bientje's fixes, so his rebalancing mod is no longer needed and I strongly suggest not using it with 2.0 and onward, as I have changed armour records.

Please give bientje an endorsement if you havn't already, they helped me so much in fixing my initial release, and this release too.

UPDATES "Reforged" (2023)

2.0 - I re textured and re modeled the helmet. I re textured the leather materials on the under armour to facilitate both male and female. I added more enhanced variants, CBBE support and HIMBO support, and incorperated bientje's patch. New armor records, and less yellow weapon textures. The crafting recipes are different now, and less punishing. Now you must have the Art of Khajiit Armour book in your inventory in addition to the glass smithing perk for crafting.

2.1 - All nif variants are made redundant aside from warmsands, as it has removed pauldrons. Texturesets are used for a more streamlined workflow, and all weight paints are updated. Gauntlets are patched, and there is now full Heavy Armour support. YAY!

2.1.4 - Re added ESL flag to esp. Updated Art of Khajiit Armor book, it is now a skillbook.
Optional - Inigo Style available in the optionals section!
Optional - CBBE and HIMBO 2.1.46 - Added less skimpy Female variant called "ArmorUp" as per many requests. Enjoy!
2.1.52 - fixed partitions, fixed some clipping on CBBE & HIMBO and the main mod.
2.1.6 - Fixed spawn rates for caravans.

ARMOUR

The armour was the most fun to make It comes in a plethora of different colour schemes. It is also avaliable in heavy Armour as of 2.1.+

As for balancing, as of version 2.0+, I used bientje's patch as a base so it has his balancing tweaks, all but the Drozira variant. Its basically light and heavy, (but lighter) Daedric Armour. .... yeah that made no sense.

in 2.1+, As for the heavy Variants - they all have the same stats as Orcish Armour. The Light variants all remain the same as they were in 2.0.

God I was an asshole when I made this mod, enjoy easier crafting recipes.

Updated changes in 2.1.6

- The Khajiit gear can only be crafted if the player has the book "The Art of Khajiit Armour" in their inventory and has either the Glass smithing perk (unlockable at level 70 in vanilla Skyrim) or is lvl 85 in smithing (to also give Heavy Armor smiths the chance to craft the armor, I don't want to be too restrictive).
- The crafting book can be bought from level 25 onward from the three travelling Kahjiit Caravan traders, and has a 90% to appear in Khajiit caravan merchant inventories.

- Updated the levelled lists so that the Khajiit traders only sell unenchanted version of the gear from level 27 onward, the same level that glass armor starts showing up in the game. Except for the Khajiit dagger, which can be found from level 20 onwards in the trader's inventory. I also randomised the chance that a piece of gear shows up for sale, so you only have a 50% chance that a Khajiit caravan trader has a specific weapon or armor. This is done for each item, so every time you talk to a caravan trader there's a 50% chance he has the Khajiit sword, a 50% chance he has the khajiit helmet, etc.
- I updated the Art of Khajiit Armour book to reflect my new crafting recipes. The DroZira variant is also as expensive as Daedric Armour, because it is actually Daedric armour.
- Armor and weapons can be now crafted at any smith.
- The NPC's holding a variant of the Khajiit Armor and a Khajiit weapon are caravan members Dro'marash, Kharjo, Ra'zhinda and Khayla. Beware NPC overhauls that conflict!"

WEAPONS

Each weapon also has custom blood textures. You can take a peek in the screenshots to see how they look. If you like the blood textures, they do really shine in the 4K version.

The weapons I made are as follows:

Khajiiti ReCurve Bow (with a sexy engraved Rosewood core)

Khajiiti Shield (has some Malachite)

All screenshots here are taken with an ENB. The ENB I run is Skyrim Re-Engaged, in conjunction with NAT (Natural and Atmospheric Tamriel)

UPDATE LOG (2018 - OUTDATED)

1.1 - Updated Khajiiti ReCurve bow's mesh to work with SSE, and also removed bogus .nifs that were residing in the weapons folder, in a folder called "backups"

1.2 - Paid a visit to some Khajiit Caravan Guards outfitted them with a few variants of my armour. I also added a journal you can find on the left side of the rim of the Skyforge, full of the crafting recipes for the Armour. Reduced the Amount of certain ingots it takes to craft the armours.

1.3 - Added all of the Khajiiti weapons and armour to the Khajiit caravans inventory, availiabe for purchase, if you have coin.
All weapons and armour can now be tempered. This still requires XP32 Maximum skeleton and FNIS to work without crashing. I am still looking into the fix for this.

1.4 - Fixed greyface issue on caravan guards and ensured that they had the proper outfits.

1.5 (UPDATE FILE) - Fixes provided by Poepkat/bientje

- Fixed the collision of the bow mesh so it no longer falls through the ground.- Assigned the proper 3rd person meshes/models in the Creation Kit. You assigned the _0 version instead of the _01 version, thus preventing weight scaling (even though you made the proper meshes!). Now weight scaling works again.
- The armor (torso) models, when viewed in 1st person, gave a weird graphical glitch when looking down. I remedied this by assigning in the Creation Kit a separate 1st person version of the armor that has the offending TriShape deleted in Nifskope. This is not a proper solution, but it at least prevents weirdgraphical glitches. Take note that I am lazy and assigned the 'fixed' model of the standard Khajitti Cuirass colour to all the different cuirass versions, so if you play with Joy of Perspective, for example, people might notice that the colour scheme is not corresponding with the armor they have equipped. For those playing with vanilla camera or in 3rd person camera, it shouldn't be a problem.
