    Spoiler:

These skin tones aren't lore friendly, they break my immersion, peepee poopoo skin tone bad etc

    • If my snow elf skin tones are not to your liking, you can change them by replacing my mod's textures. Instructions on how to do this are under the Customization section of the mod description.

Help! My falmer don't look like the dwemer in your screenshots!

    • You forgot to install the SKIN PATCHER from The Ancient Falmer Patch Center. Make sure it loads AFTER the main mod, meaning the contents of the Skin Patcher must overwrite the Ancient Falmer mod folder.

    • If you installed the SKIN PATCHER and the skins still aren't changing, then you're probably using Vortex. Vortex doesn't give you the same amount of load order control as Mod Organizer does (cough Vortex is inferior cough) you need to do some extra work.
    • For instructions, see the spoiler below:
    Spoiler:
    Show

    • You need to open the contents of the Skin Patcher, and cut and paste it into the main mod's folder. Select yes if asked if you want to overwrite.

My game is crashing on start!

    • You are most likely missing a requirement. Read through the installation guide again and make sure you installed every requirement needed for the mod to function. If you installed any plugins or patches, you must make sure their requirements are installed, too.

I started a new game and I'm crashing when I select Snow Elves in RaceMenu!

    • This can be caused by one of several things, but it is all related to the male body meshes or textures in some way, shape or form:

    • - You chose the SOS body in the installer, but didn't install Schlongs of Skyrim
    • - You chose the SOS Light body in the installer, but didn't install Schlongs of Skyrim Light
    • - You chose the SkySight Skins body in the installer, but didn't install Skysight Skins
    • - There is a mod in your load order that is overwriting the SOS, SOSL, or SkySight Skins body meshes and causing CTD's
    • - You are using incompatible Oldrim textures in SSE (not all Oldrim textures are compatible with SSE)

    • Please make sure you installed the right requirements, and that there are no incompatible mod conflicts in your load order. If anything overwrites the male body meshes that SOS or SOSL provides, you will most likely crash. If you chose SOS or SOSL in the installer, and you do not have either of the two main mods installed, you WILL crash for sure.

    Vampirism isn't working!
    or
My character isn't getting his/her Better Vampires/Sacrosanct/Sacrilege spells!

    • Reinstall RaceCompatibility, and make sure you selected the corresponding patch for the vampire overhaul you use (you can only pick one)
    • Reinstall the Timelost Dwemer, and make sure you installed the corresponding patch for the vampire overhaul you use (you can only pick one)
    • Read the Load Order section of the mod description under Installation > Load Order. You must load the vampire overhaul mod folders, plugins, and patches in a particular order for things to work.

Where are the Snow Elf followers?

    • Valrysa and Ashian are both in the Silverblood Inn.

My male snow elves have holes in their crotches!

    • You are missing the Snow Elf SOS Plugin. You need both SOS/SOS Light and the Snow Elf SOS Plugin if you want your male snow elves to have genitals.

    • If you have the Snow Elf SOS Plugin installed, and your Snow Elf males still have holes in their crotches, you may need to manually-apply their schlongs. Make sure to apply the Snow Elf schlong.

Do NPC's refer to me as a snow elf ingame?

    My textures look messed up!

    • Make sure you load the Essentials Patcher AFTER the main mod's folder.

    • If you’re experiencing weird texture stretching on females or males, then you might have installed the wrong textures. For example, if you are using CBBE, you MUST install the CBBE option in my mod's installer. If you are using Skysight Skins, you must install the Skysight Skins option in my mod's installer etc

Is there an Xbox One port? Xbone port when?

    • I don't own an Xbox so I have no plans to port the mod. Other users are welcome to try though, provided they ask me for permission and follow my mod's permissions.

Can you make Valrysa into a character preset?

    • No, sorry!

New penis mod came out. Can you make a patch for it?

When is the Xivkyn race coming?

    • Not anytime soon!

Such a fantastic, well thought of mod, thanks for all the work, really.

Say, I was just wondering if it is possible to simply keep the original appearance of Skyrim Snow Elves while having all the other features of the mod. Im sure it’s not your vision, which is totally fine, but if you or anybody could help me do it myself in CK or xEdit, it would be much appreciated! Cheers

This is one of my all-time favourite race mods. Also, omg, I just noticed it and idk if you're still working on it or not, but the race you put under your "future plans" section got me very hyped.

Hey, I want to start by saying thanks for your awesome mods, Ancient Falmer and Timelost Dwemer are friggin amazing! They are 100% my favorite race mods in Skyrim. I was just wondering if you would mind doing an update for TNG - The New Gentleman, Ive been having issues with this mod not syncing....a certain area with the rest of the skin, I am using BNP and beyond converting the SOS plugin that is offsite myself (i am completely inept with zedit) I have tried everything, I know you are busy so i understand if you dont have the time or desire to do this, thanks!

Hello, thank you for playing! I don't like male body mods (not a fan of staring at penises for hours while patching them) but I do want to update my mods to support those kinds of mods in the future. It's not a priority right now, but I do want to make a patch for it someday.

I don't know if it's Vortex, or any of my other mods conflicting, but Valrysa appears with a blue face and neck. But when i go to create a snow elf character, the face and neck look normal.  I'd share a screenshot of what I mean, but nexus can't make it as simple as dragging and dropping. Other than my possible stupidity, you did very nice work

Sorry for the late response. If you can list the plugins you installed with my mod (like Follower PLugins, Sacrosanct Patch, etc) then I might be able to narrow down the problem. It's probably a plugin from my mod that is overwriting Valrysa's record.

Hi! Thanks for the great mod. I was wondering if you're able to provide some assistance with an issue I'm having.

After installing the mod, all female NPCs in my game have smooth, clean, doll-like faces. They don't look bad at all but they mismatch my male NPCs and it's throwing me off. I tried uninstalling the mod and skin patcher but they still look the same. I'm assuming it must have overwritten some texture files somewhere but I can't figure out how to change them back to how they looked before I installed it.

The only texture mod I use is Total Character Makeover, if that makes any difference.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, any help is appreciated!

Hello, this bug is unrelated to my mod as my mod doesn't overwrite any of the base game's textures/meshes or their related records. It's probably related to the Total Character Makeover mod's load order. I usually put any character overhaul mods at the bottom of my load order in both the mod folders pane and plugins pane of MO2. If you're using Vortex then it can't be helped since Vortex doesn't allow manual load order adjustments.

Hey I was wondering will there be a patch for better vampire lords if possible? Because that mods instantly turns you into a vampire lord with no option to revert as playing snow elf.

Hello! I am experiencing a bug with the Snow Elf Race and high poly head. In racemenu I can't select or find the high poly head for the race and can only select the heads for high elf. When I do that the textures mismatch and it looks weird. I have tried using the .esp included in the mod and the (possibly old) patch on the Nexus. I have even tried to look in xEdit but I am not experienced enough to correctly edit record.

    I use
    Snow Elf Race v1.412
    Skyrim SE 1.5.97
    Better Vampire 8.9
RaceCompatibility with fixes for SSE 2.16

Try downloading the highpoly patch from here:
      https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/43098

If that one doesn't work, then IIRC you can fix the discolored head by opening race menu and going to face or body overlays, and disabling some of the colors there.

Sadly, the bug still persists and all overlays and make-up is disabled on my newly made PC. Here are some pictures of the bug. I am still not able to select a high poly head made for the race, but only the high elf head with the defualt skin texture.

I have done all as instructed but when I try to start the game it cause CTD.
Edit - it is not your mod it's race compability, for some reason it cause CTD.
Anyway good mod, you have a talent, cheers.
Just shame that I can't make it work.

RC hasn't updated in a while so it should be a stable release. You must be missing a requirement for either RC or my mod.

I'm struggling to use this mod as I have no idea how to use RaceMenu effectively to design characters. I tried to make a good looking one, but am failing. I am trying to find ways to copy Valrysa's modifications as she doesn't look like a monster. The presets provided by RaceMenu are, to be honest, completely unnaceptable. At least for the SnowElf, the other races don't have nearly as bad of a time.

Do you have a RaceMenu preset available, or some ideas on how to make a Snow Elf character look normal? Main issue is the face is way too spiky and sharp. The face looks like the letter V.

If I remember correctly the base race for this mod is a high elf so those presets I believe should work.

Are you using some kind of incompatible face mesh mod? Because that shouldn't be happening. Both of my race mods are incompatible with Ethereal Elven Overhaul, for example. If you're using Aesthetic Elves, you must use the patch for it.

Sure, but Aestetic Elves is working greatly with your mod. At least for the females.
Added the good old SG Hair i downloaded from the net like suggested.
Purrfect, gives me forgotten Oldrim vibes. ;) Still loved these hairstyles lot.

Many thanks for sharing your beautiful mod !
