Unzip it and physically move the .pas file over into the 'Edit Scripts' folder inside of the folder that xedit is in.
Download Realistic Mining and Chopping (USSEP if you are using USSEP) and as normal make sure it is in your plugin list, however you normally do that.
Open xedit, it will show you your list of mods, make sure they are ticked and click ok. It will process things for a little while, that's ok just sit tight.
On the right you will see a list of your mods. Click the plus button next to Realistic Mining and Chopping.
Right click Activator and delete modgroup, do the same for furniture.
A screen will come up asking about USSEP, just tick USSEP and continue. Later another warning will come up again about USSEP, click ok to that as well. You're doing it right, just keep going.
Now right click on Realistic Mining and Chopping again, click "Apply Script"
A window will come up with a drop-down menu. In the drop-down menu select 'Hishy_RealisticMiningForVR.pas'
Hit ok then let it do its thing.
After it is done, click the menu in the upper lefthand corner of xedit and click save.
Downloaded April 1, 2024 on a new mod/game/save VR install.
Totally fixed the VR mining issues I had with previous saves. Before I had to park a horse close to wherever I was mining so I could mount to get away from the forced mining loop animation...it also meant that I can't just let the game rack up 400 stone in 30 seconds, but the immersion is now way better, lol.
Unfortunately I weren't able to unistall this mod without corruption of my saves and game so I also tried my luck with this patch too. It took some time to understand what exactly is needed to be done in SSEEdit (TES5VREdit) but I think that it works for me too. I will need longer testing on more places with deposits to be mine to cinfirme that no CTD during mining occurs.
I also couldn't recommend. Too bad that I didn't read this disscusion first before I added this mod. I am also experiencing CTD like the others and save corruption too. f***!
f***ing atrocious. Thanks for breaking my save, jackass. Now I have some stupid f***ing prop stuck to my hand that fucks with everything. I suppose the timestamp on the last update should've indicated the amount of effort put into the mod.
