1.2 is up and fixes the bug when you can't save after playing the Battle of Heroes. For some reasons, 1.2 has a small file size; I'm not sure why. If you have any issue, please report it in the BUG tab!
Hey! I love your mod! It adds a play slice-of-life that is hard to find in skyrim!
I do have a weird thing happening tho, when playing again Orgnar (Battle of Heroes) he disappears after we finish? It's only with Battle of heroes tho. I do have a card replacer on if that dkes anything?...
EDIT: did some testing and it turns out the retexture mod (something myths) for this was making him disappear! I removed it and everything works as intended!
EDIT 2: nah, it worked for one game. He disappeared on the next.
When I look at your mods I see that you have made mods that no one else has done, maybe very difficult mods, I wonder if you are still active, have you ever thought about updating or improving them and thanks for all these mods.
My words are not meant to be polite, they are facts. I understand what you are saying, I hope you continue to do what you want. But don't forget this mode :D I'm just kidding, if you update, we won't say no, but none of us have the right to say anything to you.
Hello! I really love mini games within any game (from Yakuza to the Witcher and so on). I'm using Vortex, and downloaded your mod, installed it, but it doesn't seem to be active when I launch the game and go to a tavern, such as the Bannered Mare in Whiterun. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to find a special NPC to initiate the mini games or not, but I really want to get it working. I only have ten or so other mods working and checked the load order, but I don't think that's the problem. Sorry to bug you like this, because I know you have an actual life, but any advice is welcome. Thank you!
Also, I am using SKSE 64 to launch via Vortex, if that makes any different. The other mods do activate when I launch this way.
UPDATE: I switched to Mod Organizer 2, which is a better mod handler than Vortex, and now I have Tavern Games.
Has anyone had the problem that every single NPC refuse to play saying "Not my problem" and the Innkeeper, sometimes, agrees but then the game doesn't start?
It's weird because I have the mod very low on my load order and it was working great on past games.
I wanna know if it's an issue on my end, like some conflict I have to figure out, or if anyone else also have this issue.
I'm playing on AE btw.

EDIT: Turns out, all of that it's simply because they don't have enough money. After some testing and trying mods like More NPC Pocket Money 2 (SPID), Speechcraft or NPC bartering, I think that just going to the NPC and typing "additem f [Nº OF COINS]" it's the best solution.
That also makes me think that would be perfect if the option "I'd like to play something" automatically gives 100 coins to the NPC or so. For now, I'll stick for the console command workaround.
Other than that, it works flawlessly. Essential mod for my taste. Really makes taverns feel more lively.
This is a rip on Enderal's tavern games. I love it! When it works. Wouldn't it be amazing if someone put out a companion mod that kept NPC's pockets filled with gold? Just sayin. It would be nice if SOMEONE could play with poor old Dovahkiin!
Oh really? That's even better! Just having the Enderal feels makes me happy! So, you're still active? What is the possibility you might someday add on a component that gives money to NPCs?
Yeah, actually, I don't know how often, or how, the gold in the NPC's pockets is updated. It seems that every time you win all of an NPC's money, you can't play with that NPC anymore.
As mentioned by @Sorrelfoxx on a Reddit thread on a similar topic.
Immersive Speechcraft lets you talk to any non-hostile NPC, and includes the option to give a gift. You can also do other things like comment on the weather and ask them to help you (such as by asking them for money, getting them to follow you for a short distance, or getting them to train you in a skill).
There's an LE mod Give gifts to anyone in Skyrim. Maybe someone can port it to SSE? There are also a few mods that allow to interact easily with NPCs to change their outfits, etc., but I'm not sure if any of them allow to gift gold to an NPC.
Alternatively, you could use a Follower system mod - such as NFF, EFF, MFF or SMF - to make the NPC as a (temporary) follower, then give some gold to them, and then dismiss them. Then you can play the Tavern game with them again!
Easiest (cheating) trick would be use the console: open the console window (tilde ~ key), click the NPC. type the command "additem 0f 500" (if you wanted to add, say, 500 gold) and press Enter, and press tilde (~) key again to close the console window. Hey presto! The NPC now has some (of your) gold, you can now challenge them for a tavern game (and win back your gold)!
I think you might be confused about what I was saying? I'm hoping for a mod that adds gold to NPCS so you can actually play with people. A lot of times the gamblers have no money and LIaTs don't ever have patrons with money. I find it really hard to play and it's a shame because these games are just awesome and they bring so much to the tavern scene!
that's literally what they are saying to do as an alternative. You can manually add money to npc's via console then play them for the money added.
An easier work around would be to find a mod that adds more npc's to the game world then open up ssedit and add gold to those npc's pockets. Its a lighter workaround than adding gold to everyone or fumbling with SPID.
I can't bet my coin much!! In my games, only 45 coin is max to bet(me and npc has thousands of coins) I can't write my bet, just choice my bet and that choice is up to 45 coin
Had a bug where the screen was messed up and mostly dark when playing games, although I could still choose options in the games. Turns out it's caused by some sort of issue with Oblivion Camera SE, which zooms on the NPC's faces when you talk. I found simple workaround, however: after someone agrees to play a game with you, immediately get out of the conversation with them. The games' UI should work normally if you do that.
Just wanted to put this comment here to help anyone in case you run into a similar issue in the future with mods that touch the camera/conversations like that.
