(I noticed if Steam is offline it blocks any changes I make with this.  Be aware Steam cloud can mess things up too. I hate Steam)

This will disable Favorites Menu activation with trackpad press. I have only tested it a bit, may cause the earth to melt, and birds to attack children. You can still favorite items in default inventory to use with Spell Wheel mod. You can not favorite anything with Mage VR back pack that I know of. I do not know any way to avoid the default magicka menu or MCM even with voice and gestures.

    DISABLE INPUT VR mod
PreventActivateMisclick = 1  # This option prevents activate misclick of touchpad center in Vive controllers, when you accidentally moved your hand when you want to pick something or pick some flowers.
PreventActivateMisclickTimer = 999999 # This is the timer for the misclick countdown. You are not allowed to click on the center of touchpad for this duration after you don't have an activate popup.

Is it possible to make jumping by pressing on up part of right touch area? I've changed the mapping but it still opens favorite menu instead of jump. Overriding grip button seems to work fine, but I can't override that pressing on touch pad.

You can make run fast like sprint and add a stamina drain. Then you can use the 'press for sprint' for jumping. It works really well doing all your moving and jump with that one thumb.

I think you can use Steam VR control settings to change the "right touchpad press" to "nothing" and this remapper mod will still assign your jump. Also note that favorites will not open if you do not favorite anything (that would disable the use of spell wheel mod if you use it though). There is a mod that lets you make shapes on the touchpad to summon spells and there is the option of using voice to equip spells too. I just wanted to share some ideas. Good luck.

Remapping buttons while editing with your tool kinda "overlays" but not overwrites the standard input.
E.g. mainhand (right), touchpad: Left to turn left, right to turn right. Wanna set them as Hotkey 1 and Hotkey 2 (did assign new keys via your application). Though, the execution is buggy: The character turns left while changing items respectively to hotkey 1 (equip shield).

I also wanted to remove the "favoritesmenu / accept-activate" button, to leave it as an "accept" input and move the fav-button to touchpad up and yet it doesn't work.
Is there a fix for this?

Normally I would ask if you send me your controlmap so I can test it. Unfortunately, I do not have Vive! Unfortunately my english is not good enough to understand your problem properly, sorry. Let's see what the people in Reddit say.

I think I got it now. With the Oculus RIft it is like this that you can not change the assignment of the analog sticks. The Vive has a touchpad with included buttons. You can change the assignment of the buttons but not those of the touchpad. Now you have a double occupancy. Can you see nicely in the default setting that the touchpad has no assignment (nothing). We need a real modder to change that! My App is only a better texteditor, nothing more. No magic :-)

Same for me with hotkeys and touchpad. I use VRIK holster for equipment, plan to use voice for spells, and maybe gestures for potions. It may be possible to kill that turning with this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/27800 or even with some ini changes found through Skyrim VR Tweaker by adding a delay or zero speed to turning.

OK turning is gone with that disabler, still working on the favorites menu ordeal. Favorites menu should have never existed and we should be setting hotkeys in inventory. "If we add another menu with another list it will be less complicated" hate the fav menu.

EDIT: this is from the disabler mod, you may be able to adjust this for a workaround
"PreventActivateMisclick = 1 : This setting disables center of the touchpad for PreventActivateMisclickTimer milliseconds after you view an activate
popup and it closes. So you won't misclick and open the favorites menu."

I suspect that the modified save does not take effect. The hpyreal, which is basically the same as the HTC vive key, cannot be used, but the oculus's controlmapvr.txt But it can move normally.

Are there any plans doing this for Valve Index controllers?

Hey, over on reddit someone found out that you can combine buttons to make more keys, it would be awesome if you could include the ability to make these kinds of combination of keys inside your program.

I know, I did not know that when I wrote the program. This will be a lot of work to rewrite the program for this kind of mapping. I do not have time for that now, but I'll do that for the next week...

    Hi.

Is there any way to replace a Controller action with a Keyboard command? Specifically, I want to replace the Left Controller Grip button command (normally crouch/sneak) With the ALT key.

The reason is I’m using a Virtuix Omni Treadmill, which interprets foot movement into WASD keyboard strokes. Which means running in the treadmill activates the W key. Which is great, but if I could shift from RUNNING to SPRINTING by squeezing the grip buttons, the game would be a lot better.

    Thanks!

I´ve never change something in the keyboard mapping file, you have to test it by yourself. I have upladed an Optional File with all the control mapping files for Skyrim VR. You have to edit the controlmap.txt for the Keyboard. The Key ID´s are in keyboard_english.txt. The ID for left ALT-Key = 0x38 for the right ALT-Key = 0xb8. Good luck!
