I recommend putting this into your skyrim.ini if youre using this mod so that if you have subtitle for dialogues on, it will hide the name of the speaker, since this mod doesnt affect names in subtitles :
hi, I love this mod because it adds a huge immersion, and I'm using it with another mod that adds names to npcs that don't have names ( NPCs Name Distributor ), before it was working normally, but I think I did something in the load order that makes the character names appear a few seconds after loading the save even though I haven't talked to the npc.

I'll try to fix it and I'll post it here if anyone likes the mods because I think it's an interesting combination, if anyone has any ideas on how to fix it please let me know
You just saved me two days of my life. For anyone with the same Issue, Name Distributor does the same thing. There's a configuration file for settings too.
Yo, this mod seems really interesting to me, and I would love to have it in my next playthrough. But, I was wondering if there are any options to change the text that shows before you talk to the person (in this case, stranger.) “stranger” just dosent sit right with me in a darker game that takes place a couple hundred years ago, and would rather there just be no text instead of “stranger.”
I don't know what I am doing wrong. I installed the mod in my current game then went into Whiterun for the first time. Everyone has their name. Do I need to do something special to make the script run? Do I need a new game entirely? Thank you for your help.
Is there a way to make this affect dialogue subtitles too? When a stranger I never talked to has their name on the subtitles it's beating the purpose of this mod, as one might guess. :D So, any way to prevent this?
Edit: Wait, I see that this was an option for LE but not for SE. Is there a reason for that? Like, is it bugged?
No disrespect intended here. Anyone reading these, the mod is not useless if you do not use subtitles. With that said I respect the desire to use subtitles and wanting a fix to coincide with the mod. I do believe you can just remove the name from the swf for subtitles just like people do for dialogue. This would fix the issue.
Nice! Would be nice if the only way you could learn their names is if you ask them it as a dialogue choice or they say it right away after you interact with them like if they're doing a service for you (like shopkeepers/vendors/barkeepers/wenches/armor+weapons vendors) for the complete immersion. Even better if there was a chance they didn't give it to you if your relationshiprank was low with them or just a random chance they didn't want to for no reason at all.
Love this mod, an absolute must-have! Any reason why it wouldn't work with the mod Improved Roads? For some reason those NPCs don't get the "stranger" name before I talk to them...
Gonna download this since I hate the idea of knowing an NPC before talking to them! Also, for the people harping about the subtitle issue with their names showing, defeating the purpose of this mod:
