This SSE port is a personal interpretation of the original mod. ° The .esp plugin and some meshes have been modified following my tastes. If you meet some problem let me know it and i will do what i can to fix things up. ENJOY IT!
Any chance you could port this over to bethesda.net? I don't have creation club on my computer so I couldn't do it even with permission (old laptop woes) I'm working on a rat king inspired build and this helmet is the only one of its kind and is kinda perfect.
This skeever hat would actually make a pretty nice unique hat for that one vanilla quest. The Thieves Guild one where you plan to poison the Honningbrew Meadery and find that one guy trying to make an army of Skeevers? On him it would make perfect sense for him to wear it.
Haven't tested this in game but according to the description and from what I can see in SSEEdit he does. If he didn't have it in your game you might have to run Wrye Bash again.
As you can read above this is only a port, i am not the original author of the 3D model. I am only adding new in-game feature and doing some other nice things. So i can't create any bat-hat, But thanks anyway.
Looks great on Khajiit and Argonians, but a bit weird on all other races. Minds you that I am judging solely on the screenshots. I would suggest separate meshes for any non-Khajiit and non-Argonians. This is just my personal opinion however.
I agree. Fixing this is still a bit out of my skills for the moment. Today i have messed up a bit with the inventory model rotating the head, scaling the various parts, like the body and the tail... I have never seen a mesh like that, i am not sure how to work with it. When retouching a single part another one goes crazy. Also the skeever's texture and uv are far more complicated than what i am used to. That said this does not mean that maybe in the next future this will be easier for me.
I am working on adding my other "Hip-Bag SE" on leveled lists at the moment. So in the next future i want to add also this as soon as i got time to do it. If you tell me who you want to wear the skeever hat i can note that up and if it makes sense i will add a chance for NPCs to wear it. Just let me know.
Well... I don't know that I'd wear it unless I found an enchanted one (or more) out in the wilds that was pretty good. However, I like having more variety with what other characters are wearing out in the world. Maybe limit it to bandits and homeless people and characters in the Ratway in Riften like Esbern or that crazy lady. Maybe some skeletons wearing it. I think it has a place in the world at large and it doesn't have to be in a jokey kind of way.

But the helmet can be "clothes" type yet. So i can't think something weaker than a common hat. 2) I did not remember this guys : Hamelyn but now that i read, yes, it seems a good idea. 3) As i have already wrote everywhere in this mod's pages, i am not the author. The problem for me is that at the moment i don't know exactly how to add this hat to an NPC yet but i think it should not be hard with some research doing that using SSEDIT. I would say: i will add this feature on the next release if it can be done without messing too much with the game itself. Thanks for the suggestion. 4) If anyone here on nexus can tell me how to do that, since i am lazy by nature, i will not be offended, trust me. 5) If anyone here on nexus don't want me to add the hat to Hamelyn on the next release of this mod, tell me. Little update: i really suck with SSEDIT but i managed to make him drop a SkeeverHelmet heavy armor when killed. I have also changed the voice "Worn Armor" inserting the helmet but for some reason he doesn't wear it. If someone knows what i am doing wrong let me know. This is all for the moment.
EDIT: for what i understand is a matter of outfit. I will check tomorrow if it is possible to edit it from SSEdit or i need to do it with the CK. Anyway for now he just go around naked shouting and throwing spells and when he dies you find the helmet in his inventory. Lol.
The Skeever bonnet looked great, but it was infected with lice and fleas. My poor character is red raw with all the scratching. Can you recommend a good treatment for her. Also I found that it easily caught fire if you were not careful. Would there be a chance of you making a version that was parasite free, and perhaps with a little more fire resistance?
