    @Synndal:
    would it be possible to create an basic campfire that burns forever?

    And maybe a special ability called "Deforest wood"?
    Deforest Wood - Spend 30 hours gathering significant bulks of deadwood and branches.

    As of 5 May 2020, I don't have a problem on lighting campfire in VR. I guess this mod is obsolete.

      Yes indeed...Chesko has updated Campfire for VR since this mod was created.

      I think the mod still has its uses. I for one prefer the permanent campfire since it's always such a pain to go around and relight all the fires in areas in my camp that I don't usually hang out at (such as guard posts). It also helps with certain scenarios such as a camp that has followers garrisoning it, but 0 lit campfire because followers can't light fires. I personally still use it in conjunction with the main mod.

    Thanks for this, I don't use VR, but I have some form of conflict in my Load Order that means I can't light fires, it just stops the animation and construction half way thru and gives me back the firewood/deadwood. I have 415 mods installed and running so figuring out which one is conflicting is impossible! I've been using the campfire unleashed firewood fire generator, but it makes a permanent fire, not very immersive. You are a super star for making this mod !!!

      I honestly have no idea...I'm assuming it should, because it just places a standard vanilla fire. If you try it out, let me know!

    Cynndal... Thank you! I am also a fan of cheskos work and it was lame playing without frostfall. This is nice until cheko finishes working on the new vr version. Thank you!

    Just to confirm that this is a general issue and not specific to my configuration: You can't use placeable campfires to interact with the Campfire and Frostfall skill trees, right?

    I place a campfire, choose "use" from the campfire menu, but nothing happens except some of my buttons stop working until I get it out of whatever mode it's in.

    Anyway, thanks for creating this! Even if the skill trees don't work, it still makes the rest of Campfire and Frostfall usable until Chesko releases VR updates.

      Yeah, sadly these fires won't let you do anything except not freeze to death, which means no skill trees and no campfire crafting. Hopefully Chesko will have an update out in the next week or so...I miss building and lighting fires.

    How do you actually place the fires? I can get the glowing blue ring, but can't actually place it.

      These fires are crafted in the survival menu and placed from your inventory, not through Campfire's "build fire" option.

      I found that by turning off advanced placement in Campfire's options I was able to place things more easily, although the downside of that is that things are placed where you are looking when you click on them, and can't be moved around/adjusted.

      Luckily, Chesko is working on an update that will hopefully be out soon, and then we won't need to use this mod at all.
