This ini file is just for your personal reference. The way you make modifications to your game is you create a blank SkyrimVR.ini file in your Data folder along with your normal SkyrimPrefs.ini. Then you take whatever values you want to modify out of this ini dump Ive included here, you modify them to your liking, and place them in your blank SkyrimVR ini in your Data folder.
Dont forget each modification has to be under its proper heading such as [VR] or [VRInput].
Simply pasting this into your Data folder will do nothing because these are just the games default settings. If you want, you can modify directly from this file, but I dont recommend it because its a pain to find anything when you want to tweak things and there isnt much worth tweaking anyways.
That being said, here is what my current SkyrimVR.ini file looks like that I use for my game to give you an idea of what I mean:
Since this is only one of two places that mentions the Targetiundicator_Runeray.nif asset. I can't find it in my game files. I've been wanting to use it as an asset replacer for the magic reticles cause its larger, magic-looking, and more visible.
Just checking back on this. Is there any way to change fActivateRolloverWandScale= setting and have it reflect in game? Or is it still broken? Every other ini change is immediately reflected in game, but not this one. I heard a few people say that this specific command is broken. Has anyone found a way to actually get the changes to reflect in game? I have completely deleted all the ini files and had the game remake them—still nothing. Any ideas?
Yep. However if you mod values in one and not the other, there could be a conflict where it simply wont work in game because the game will read one over the other. So generally speaking its best to keep it to only the original INI then pull values from this as you want. Or download Bilagos INI tweaker tool!
So i'm having a problem where when i equip weapons or not, my weapons/hands are offset to the right and point away from me towards 2 o'clock. My left hand actually sits under me while like this, so that holding torches is literally blocking my view. I end up walking forward while blocking just to see where I'm going. I have to strain to see what my left hand is holding from my right side. And this is all while playing seated with a gamepad controller. Do you know what setting i would have to tweak to reset this? I've ran the steamvr settings for seated gameplay and still no change.
So do I add this file to my Skyrim VR folder because I can't find a SkyrimVR.INI not in my Install directory nor in My Games\Skyrim VR folder. I have several INI files non of them are SkyrimVR.INI... I wanted to do a side by side to see what was tweaked...
So I've done some adjustments to run speed jump height removed the dark edging n fixed the blur just like in Fallout vr but what aggravates me the most is when I pick up my shield I move soooo slowly.. Need a fix for that I just can't find it..
SAME, let me know if you find a fix. I move very slow with a shield but only when im turning my head to the left. when i turn my head to the right i move at normal speed.
I tried putting it in the main directory and everytime I open NMM it says that I dont have the exe or the ini file which Ive already placed in the main dir. Im super new to mods I have no idea wth to do or alot or understand alot of the pc terminology, I have the cracked version.

Sorry if stupid question.
I thought I was being funny. Do I have to remove my normal skyrim ini file from the game directory?
Also, is there a different process for booting the game? Does it work with SKSE?
Very odd! Everyone talks about skyrimprefs.ini and don't have that either...
