It's something you probably DON'T want to do. PCs have come a long way since Skyrim first came out....but having body duration times extended indefinitely will still grind down your speed.
Damn this mod crashes my game, but I guess that's to be expected when adding mods mid playthrough to an already heavily modded game. I needed this mod as well since bodies are disappearing even before combat is over so I get no chance to loot them.
Yeah, the default 'body limit' is so low....might have been necessary back in the day when the game first came out (some players hardware was lacking). But there is no excuse for it now....really, SSE version should have included the changes my mod makes!
Anyway, it is strange that it crashes your game....there are thousands of users with large mod lists who have no problem (myself included). Did you try SSEdit to see if you could find conflicts?
Hello! I would like to ask if I want to adjust the corpse duration to permanent, how do I do that? What are the relevant specific value entries involved in the ini file?
Hmmm, it has been YEARS since I did this mod...I do remember it's not an .ini file change. I had to use the Creation Kit.
Simply load up SSEEdit and check the changes, then you can adjust the values to what you'd like.
*I do remember that I could turn up the duration even more...but back then, I was worried about players who had slower computers. But if you have a good system, you shouldn't have any issue.
No, I vaguely remember researching a lot of modding pages to find the info I needed.....you know, you could simply use SSEdit and compare my mod with the vanilla, right?
I'm not actually sure what the 'idle animation for corpses' bug is? Can you describe the bug a bit more? Do you mean the equipment (sometimes even the corpses) floating upwards, bug? That's a vanilla bug that my mod doesn't deal with.
The 'dead NPC equipment floating upwards' bug has nothing to do with my mod.....unless you are saying the NPCs themselves float up into the air (that would be something new).
My mod doesn't cause bodies to float upwards.....BUT if there are a LOT of bodies, their shields/weapons can potentially float upwards. It's pretty rare though.
I've been playing this game religiously for years....and my mod hasn't once caused a body to float upwards (at least not for me). My mod list is over 200....so I suspect the 'floating body' bug has nothing to do with my mod.
*THAT ALL SAID, thank you for linking a mod that might fix other player's issues! Just to see, I'm going to install that mod and see if it stops weapons/shields from potentially floating.
Hello! I'm combing through the Nexus researching mods for an upcoming playthrough. Planning a character that will be influenced by necromancy, so this mod is very, very likely going into my modlist. I'm currently compiling the list, and I made a note to Endorse once I've begun downloading. In fact, I downloaded the mod anyways so that when I go to add it, I can simply just endorse it instead.
I have to say, this is a criminally underrated mod!
